Stick has zero field vision...zero instincts and melted down this pre season when he was told for the forast time that he was playing for his job..... the cloe ups of his face showe he cannot handle the stress of being a starting QB! .... so galds we finally added an NFL QB to be our backup... if you watch Hwineke's highlight video, Stick has NEVER ever made those kind of passes.....
Heineken is really slick in the pocket too. He’s confident and can take off and use his feet. Dude can make plays just with his feet. It was just time to move on from Stick and get a competent career back up QB.

He can scoot. He’s got wheels and actually makes plays.
        What’s the situation with Stick?

          The facts are just fine

Stick is 0-4, including a shameful 63-21 loss to Raiders where his turnovers contributed to that shit kicking and a loss to full back up squad of Chiefs
Heineke is 13-15.....Billy Volek was 3-7 when we got him. He has won 13 games, got his team to the playoffs once
Heineke has thrown for 6,635 yards 39 TD 28 Int 84.2
Those numbers are just fine for a back up and yes he has better intangibles than Stick, he plays with intensity and can ignite a team when he comes into a game.

You can keep stubbornly trying to make your point, whatever it is...but the only thing that matters is the football minds that matter, Hortiz and Harbaugh got a close look at how bad Stick was in practise and in 3 games, factually his numbers were pathetic, and made the right decison to part with a draft pick and acquire a competent back up for Herbert

          Enough said

2017 Bill Obrien's Texans. No Offensive Coordinator. He's only 24 and a "rookie" here.
2018: Sucky Panthers Team with BAD WR's. Heneike started ONE game. He's still learning here. Ron Rivera HC. Scott Turner OC
              2019: DNP
2000-2022 Ron RIvera HC, Scott Turner OC. In his 3 years. he averaged 92 passer rating in his time with Washington from 2020-2022. He had Terry McLaurin (1,000 yard receiver during Heneike's time there) to throw to for 3 years.
DeAndre Carter, Jahan Dotson, (Carter and Dotson had to combine for 1,000 yards one year I believe in 2022) Logan Thomas TE. (We have BETTER WR's. Yes, I believe we do!)
2023 : Atlanta Falcons. Arthur Smith was fired. Was a 1st Time Head Coach. Bad OC named Ragone who is now demoted to QB Coach elsewhere.

              Hard to count 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023. Dude did come back w/ a vengeance after 2019. Didn't give up.
He had "real" coaching under SCOTT TURNER during his Washington Days. Avg talent around him.

Will have luxury of JIM HARBAUGH who is a better coach than Bill O'Brien, Arthur Smith and yes better than Ron Rivera.
Coordinator: Greg Roman is respectable. Has worked with Harbaugh. I think our defense is also better than all those other teams above. (Have to check on that tho) Special Teams should be better than all those other teams he was with too. If this Heneike is surrounded by these better things I mentioned, he could thrive.

              Solid.

I would add that Heineke led one of the worse teams to win a division in a long time, his time in Washington was also marred in scandals and other issues dealing with ownership and such, he made chicken salad with what he had so he's shown that he can elevate a team in the past...that he had a winning record in Washington is an accomplishment all in and of itself...

Cleveland must have been asking for a ransom for Huntley.
                    glad we didn't bite.

they did have a small amount of leverage, the fact that Huntley was plug and play as he's already familiar with the offense...I think that they overplayed their hand, now their left holding onto a 4rth QB that they can't keep...

this makes the Heineke move all the more impressive because it was a pivot move and so smart at that, almost like Hortiz planned it all along...

If nothing else, it kind of tied Cleveland's hands w/waiver wire while Ravens and Chargers "negotiated". Come to think of it, maybe this is a HarBros Special.

GAC's Steven Hanglund suggests as much at the 4:45 mark.
