And, if he leaves as a FA next year, we’ll probably get a 6th or 7th round comp pick back. Same with Molden. my point is, by virtue of signing with the Browns, was that like a fuck you to Baltimore? was the parting of ways amicable? they certainly didn't pursue him and the guy signed with Cleveland for a vet minimum deal...Originally posted by 21&500 View Post

guess not.
Hortiz knows him and was there last year, he knows the situation, if he was interested in trading with the Browns to bring him in, was that just sheer desperation after seeing Stick in action OR does Hortiz like the player? we might soon find out...if they don't bring Huntley in, then their might be something going on there...
It just makes too much sense to bring him in, so hopefully Huntley didn't do something to distance himself from Hortiz..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. We know damn well that Cleveland would not be releasing Huntley if they thought they could trade him to us. He was kept on that squad as a hostage waiting for a trade.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post
Though he could have had Tyler Huntley today without giving up ANY draft capital, that might have been even more masterly
How do you know they are keeping Stick on the 53 and cutting someone else? That is also not masterly!
Release Stick and pick up Huntley too? Is that too cute?

It's the Classic Ozzie Newsome system, massage the compensatory formula, get cheap rentals on players that have already seen the bulk of their salaries paid, then still get something back when they leave in FAOriginally posted by Formula 21 View Post

That one surprised me. I'm pretty sure that we won't have 7 WRs on the 53 when we play the Raiders.Originally posted by ChargingBolts View PostReleasing Jefferson and hoping to resign to p.s.

they still need to make one more move...they added 3 and have only cut two guys...Stick would be the logical cut if he didn't have John Spanos in his corner...Originally posted by Velo View Post

I have no idea why Spanos keeps taking the rap for Justin Herbert. Stick is Herbert's buddy and won't be cut before the bye week. Maybe not this year, depending on how well Heinicke connects with Herbert.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

No big deal anyway. QB2 is the absolute last player we ever want to see in a game. He's on the bench to give Herbert a second pair of QB eyes. Stick is there 'cause JH likes and trusts his perspective.
