There was some Benson hype coming out of training camp but it was short-lived.
I'm happy with Fisk but I think Tomlinson is a bit too old to be on the PS, personally I prefer younger, more athletic guys with a true chance to develop.
he's not too old if he can block, Mercedes Lewis has made a crazy long career out of it...

yeah but Benson makes Smart look like a bruiser blocking TE, I just don't understand Benson, I don't think he's any good...I'm still hopeful that they trade for someone in the next few days to carry on the 53 man roster...

Jefferson's turning out to be valuable in many different ways . . . . . . . . . . Chances are he goes up and down a couple more times before the season starts.

What do you expect them to say? Stick has sucked in games and apparently practice as well and didn't say he sucked. They went out and got another QB. We all saw that coming.
              Woods can't tackle.

The Stick continued roster status is obvious, gents. There are 1, maybe 2 reasons Stick is on the roster today

#1 and most important: Taylor hasn’t even gotten to the facility and sized a jersey. Staff will get him fitted, assign some asst coaches to crash course him on the playbook, and then work him some in practices and see how fast its being absorbed. they will monitor and assess and decide over the next 8 days if he’s “ready” to run the offense if emergency requires for Game 1. If they feel he can do as well as Stick, Stick will go down to PS. If not, they will swallow the extra $1.4M-whatever as an insurance rider for the entire team, keep both on the roster, and demote Stick later when they feel Taylor is ready. Is that week2, 3, ? Who knows - it will happen, it’s just a matter of when. This is how mature adults manage a professional franchise.

Then there is reason #2: I recall NFL changed game day active roster rule so that a QB3 can be “inactive” (not in the 47, or is it 46) but can be used in the event QB1 and QB2 both are injured and have to leave the game. That special rule doesn’t apply to any other position player. So they may keep all 3 on the 53 roster, keep in mind that these last 6 guys everyone is fretting about being on the roster vs the PS will never be able to play in a game anyway, they will not be active on game days. They could be brought up the NEXT week if there is an injury, moving the injured player or a different bottom roster player in a group that is not depleted. but never in the same game.

Unfortunate bottom-roster fella(s) will have to shuffle down and up between PS and roster to accommodate this insurance policy in the short term. Tony took the hit for the team this time, and I do agree with the guess that they probably intend to bring him back and may have told him so.

Bottom Line: QB2 (and QB3) are not a fucking QB1 whisperer and Easton is not a fucking Johnny-protection project - he’s the current insurance for a catastrophic Herbie event we hope never happens. They do not have their new insurance policy in place so they will not cancel their current one (Stick) until it is. I would guess that #2 is not invoked and they risk it with only 2 QBs on game day, but that is also possible

Why you guys stretch and reach for bizarre unsupported fabricated conspiracy theories when the obvious is in front of you baffles me. Think like a logical professional manager, it’s the right move as of today.

Looking forward to the 2025 draft...right now it appears the top two priorities are DL and TE - yes, no?

Deone Walker...and if we draft a few spots lower ....Colston Loveland...thank you

RB is a very good class next year. We may require a good one in the 3rd round. Dobbins and Edwards are no sure things are not necessarily long term things.
