That was the Chargers that they embarrassed 63- 21 last year. His team, his players even though he was not a Charger at the time.
That and the fact that NO opponent is "just another game". This one is special on several counts, Div opponent, 1st game ever for Harbaugh's Chargers, Pierce enjoyed rubbing salt in the wound after thrashing the Chargers on 12/14/23.
Harbaugh is an emotional HC who cares about his players, including those who played in the last LVR game and lost badly.
Nah, that just gives them more motivation to win the next game in their stadium.
Keep it professional.

It’s hilarious reading some posts that say our run game is going to be unstoppable or whatever.
Did any of you listen to Greg Roman’s last press conference?
He said he didn’t know what to expect in the first game and it takes adjustments over a few games to figure out how to best utilize players and have the offense gel together.
First few games are a lot of trial and error, and exponentially so when you have an entire new group of players trying to execute a new playbook.
Yes, the run game should be markedly improved this season considering the talent upgrade, but be patient if it isn’t in mid season form coming out of the gate.
Same for the route running and aerial attack.

You say Roman didn't announce that he intends to run the ball successfully vs LVR? Shocking. Absolutely shocking I say.
