Chargers need to put together a decent record, and beat some good teams, contending teams...then the respect will come.

But as the team gels and comes together, a string of wins against the next few beatable opponents will be a great building block towards that goal.

I can envision the team being very successful over the next month while continuing to improve each week, and being ready to play with those "big boys" when the time comes. The big boys are not as big as usual this year imo.

Yes, next 4 games to grow and improve...and then a back to back test against Bengals and Ravens will tell be a good indicator how this team is shaping up. I think the Ravens is a prime time game is it not? The Harbaugh Bowl. That would be a great game to bring the A game with the NFL watching. Definately a chance to earn respect and get more national games.

The only thing I see that might relate to "immaturity" is his response to getting unfairly mugged while officials do nothing about it.

It's about controlling emotions and putting the team first. Refs get things wrong all the time - not just against the Chargers. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Joey threw his helmet down, not once, but twice in the Jax playoff game. Immature and selfish.

Ironically, I was hoping the Chargers would not play him in that game - he was coming off an inury from what I recall and the defense was playing well without him. I didn't want to see that chemistry disrupted. The rest is history.

He talks about TE Trey McBride, might be the Cards' best offensive weapon for this game. He goes into the Cardinals' injuries, of which there are a lot. He has no confidence in the Cards' OL nor their defense. In the end he predicts both teams winning.
