I like it. Shows leadership. Doesn't matter who his daddy is if he fucked up then he fucked up. Grow up and learn from it or cry about it and get released.

Isn’t it funny how last night’s 2024 Harbaugh run oriented philosophy looked a lot like a Herbert’s 2023 5-12 game? The O-line went into pass protect mode and couldn’t run block worth a damn. Harbaugh’s run oriented plan isn’t there yet. Missing is another draft and FA or easier to run against teams.

Herbert played very well. What WRs to throw to? 350 yards to that cast is pretty damn good. He has to make very good throws with no dynamic weapons and he rarely turns the ball over.

First post. Shocked. Thought we would be fine...we outplayed them, really...except they made big plays when it counted. But in the end, too many injuries, and the oline is not consistent...

Still think we will have a much better season than last year...but this looks like a work in progress...Jim got the D installed, and even with a decimated secondary, held them to 17. But the oline is the other big element in Harball...think that will be our achilles...

I hated the call too but can we really say the whole game came down to that? The Cardinals still had 2 downs after that where we would have to stop Murray or Conner. The Chargers also can own a lot of responsibility for they way they played.

Herbert was far from the problem. Given what he has to work with at WR, no run game, I thought he was good. Not sure why some are blaming him

When were we under the cap and could keep him?
They were well under the cap when they traded him. They saved that money in cutting Mike and reducing Joey (should have traded him) and Mack. They traded him for cap space, so they could sign role players. image.png

                (15 catches for 122 yards, 8.1 ypc, 4 of 6 games played)

                vs

Total cap # of $22.5 mil for the following 12 players:

                Kristian Fulton - $2.89 mil
                Will Dissly - $2.63 mil

                Hayden Hurst - $1.13 mil
                Teair Tart - $985,000
                JK Dobbins - $1.13 mil
                DJ Chark - $2.89 mil
                Taylor Heinicke - $1.2 mil

Pretty incredible moneyball work by Hortiz, especially considering the absolute pig slop mess he was handed.
well said. Hortiz did a great job in year one of cap clean up

Hortiz was able to add a lot of depth and a few starters with the money he got back from the KA trade, without that money we wouldn't have been able to add Fulton, Molden, Perryman, Dobbins, Ford, Dupree, Edwards, Dissly, etc etc etc....but go ahead and keep spouting your nonsense, LOL...

Keenan rolled the dice that all those guys would get cut so he wouldn't have to restructure, he almost got his wish too...it's a miracle that Hortiz managed to get a 4rth rounder and two outta the four guys to stay with the Chargers...Keenan proved he didn't give a fuck about improving the team...
Just untrue. It’s fine you have Harbaugh blinders on. Also reported for cursing. Fix yourself and do better.

Not that it matters but Harbaugh went 13-3 his first year with 49ers. And he did lose @ Arz by 2pts that season. Arz was a 8-8 team that year. So ...... what that tells me is that the 11 game win streak starts now.
Who has it better than us?

So are you saying we couldn’t have signed anyone because of Allen’s contract? I’m seeing a bunch of bad signings in that list sprinkled with maybe 5 mil of good signings.

Allen could have been retained while signing key free agents. Instead H&H decided to fill the team with retreads and filler because… changing the culture and NOT chargering, of wait.

Except he saddled Herbert with a castrated receiving corps. You can't build a passing game around Will Dissly.

Chargers have a first down in the red zone. Can possibly bleed more clock and kick a FG to win with little time left. If there is time left, the Cards don't get the benefit of a flag turning a near desperation 3rd and 10 from their 30 to a new life 1st and 10 from the 45.
Yep, but many won't acknowledge that is a big factor in this league, in which quite often games are determined by one score.

Chiefs could just as easily be 3-3 right now if not for the refs calls/no calls at crucial moments.

KC defense is good, but It's not like Mahomes is even playing great - 8 int, 6 TD season so far
