Dissley signed a 3 year ,14 mil contract with us.

Not sure if Hurst is injured again but Dissley is doing more than he was brought to do as Hurst has been a big disappointment. Hortiz just needs to fix that this off-season as Hurst is only on a 1 year deal.

not sure what happened on/to the IDL for the second half, and.... don't recall seeing/hearing much of Denzel neither (in the second half) ??

think losing a CB or two affected things as well....

and guessin' we coulda used Edwards some, and agree.... prolly coulda used Chark as well ??

think the the Oline held up reasonably well, think the running game was sufficient, Dissly had a good game, and even think the receivers were alright, as thinkin' it was J10 who was just off w/his ball placement for most of the second half ??

and think the guys on the Edge played pretty well, Henley was outta his tree (good), liked what Fulton did more oft than not, ditto for Tarheeb and some of our other DBs.... not sure if it was injuries or the whatnot, but the interior of our D was a lot leakier in the second half than it had been in the first ??

all that said, 34 points is 34 points, and.... think we all share in the disappointment of giving up more than 20 points for the first time, as you could just tell the D and the sidelines just didn't want to give up TDs when Cincy began to get into the red zone.

looking forward to seeing how Jim does against John, as was def not expecting a win here tonight.... well done gentlemen.
Denzel was injured and didn't play in the 2nd half

It would have been a close fg if dobbins slid down inside the 5

disagree with the whole idea. The TD put enormous pressure on Cinci and ive seen quite a few FG get blocked this year alone. I will always say take the points and let your defense earn their pay.

Yes. The idea that he "could've cost us the game" when we were tied is mind boggling. We weren't up by 10. If you leave the game up to a kicker then you get what you get. Decide a football game by football plays. Not soccer.

At least--if the FG attempt got blocked-- that attempt would have come with 0:03 on the clock, and regulation ending. The game woulda gone to OT.

When a player in Dobbs' situation *DOES* give himself up inside the 1 yard line? It's pretty much universally considered smart and unselfish.

This is a teaching opportunity for Harbaugh. I'm certain that he'll have some words for the team about this when they watch the film.

Perry got hurt and Hart went out with a concussion. That certainly made it easier on the Bengals after they left.

Bengals' A game could'nt beat our B game.

Herbert still has room to improve on learning how to throw QJ and Ladd open. Prior to this game QJ had a 85% catch rate the past 3 games. Lessor QB's simply wouldn't throw to QJ 8 times tonight.
Those deep passes to QJ in the second half felt forced. I guess they were trying to test the Bengals rookie CB.

It was clear Herbert trusted QJ, but they didn't click in that second half. He did not make any contested catches against the rookie QB. That is something Chark is very good at - time to get him involved.

Pussed out...went to bed after they tied, and we punted...

Best Charger game in a long time, till we fizzled...

Watched the.rest this AM...Burrow is a bad ass...give him and the Bengals credit for the fight...

Did notice, however...couple of their drives built on penalties by us...

Herbert was great...late in game, though, DBs were just covering tight...but last drive, LaDeeDee said hold my beer...and JK found his appetite for the score...great finish.

Getting Mack back helps out with this immensely, to state the obvious. The roughing the passer on the ball Burrow threw up for grabs that was picked was brutal.
