There were a lot of missed tackles, blown coverages and whiffed sacks. That 2nd half was brutal.

I personally don't get too caught up in the comparison, but I do find it interesting that the team with the elite group of weapons is 4-7 while we, with what many on this forum have said is the worst group of weapons in the NFL, are 7-3. With Tee Higgins probably leaving Cincinnati after this season, I won't be surprised if they spend a first-round pick on another wide receiver. I encourage them to do so, because they won't be able to match up with us on the line of scrimmage as we get more and more physical under Harbaugh and Hortiz.
We're building a team the right way.

But some of our premier guys like Bosa and Derwin weren't getting Burrow down. With Hart out we were down to 3rd string and below at CB. Eli Apple who was on the street 2 weeks ago was out there.

Let’s win one for Mack.

My daughter has that star quality - she's a competitive dancer and while she is adorable in normal life, she just lights up on stage in groups or solo. no, its not just me the proud dad - I swear its her! Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

It isn't Higgins, Chase, etc. It is that Burrow has elite passing talent. Herbert does not have Burrow's footwork, his accuracy, or his skill. Can Herbert finally shake some of the poor footwork and poor accuracy issues that have plagued him since Oregon? I'm not sure -- he may just be that QB.
Despite that, what I like about Herbert is that he KNOWS that he was bad in the 2nd half. He knows he was poor and missed throws and reads. That can drive improvement. It is why Harbaugh doesn't need to overcoach him.
I bet Jim Harbaugh would pick Herbert over Burrow 10 out of 10 times. That holds more weight than any point you could ever make to try and denigrate Herbert's game.
