I see everything you see. Who brought Minter to LA? My point is they inherited a huge $60M cap hole with key players all aged or aging, he’s flipped it from 5-11 to 8-4 so far. I recall Joey’s contract was so shit that to cut him created more cap than to keep him, they got him to renegotiate AND reduced this year’s cap AND next year is much cheaper to cut him

Allen was offered a similar deal and he declined it. LAC needed to dump $60M in cap from somewhere, they had very few choices. Joe bet on The Chark and Hurst to bridge them over and The Chark is swimming around in circles in the ocean somewhere and The Hurst is driving to his own funeral. Without 2 key targets, AND (jmo) Greg’s lack of creativity and IOL, that offense has grossly underperformed. I don’t blame Herbie, I read what others post so you don’t need to berate me that I’m wrong about Herbie if you think it’s his fault.

We probably need to win 2 out of the next 5 to squeak in the playoffs. That's doable. We probably won't make much noise in the playoffs, but the core guys will get a taste and next year we load the wagons. Enjoy the ride.
Most likely prediction right here …

I see 3 wins left on the reg season schedule, but I think 2 gets us in. Renovation phase 2 in 2025.

Yep. Phase I was to be able to put a competitive team on the field despite Cap Hell. That has been a success in my opinion.

Posting a 4+ minute highlight vid for your enjoyment.

What stands out to me as much as anything is how AWFUL Kevin Harlan is as the play-by-play announcer.

He verbally ejaculates on his listening audience-- just explodes. From his perspective, every play is climactic.

A good play-- by either team-- is such a massive turn-on for Harlan that he just splooges into the microphone. He sounds unnaturally aroused by the activity on the field. If you or I would rate a particular play a '7' out of 10 on an 'Impact Scale', Harlan would rate it a 13. He has no capacity for keeping his psychological pants on.

As a viewer, it leaves me with the feeling that he needs more privacy.

I agree. I didn’t expect us to be competitive this quickly.

do think that not one, but two playoff wins are a distinct possibility…. Baltimore still seems the most staunch obstacle ??

My friend came with me, he co leads our Grief share group at my church. It was his first pro football game. We had a great time.

I explained how great TPB were to me and the significance of the jersey I was wearing. He was really touched.

The good players or the good OC? It seems to me the Bills and SO many others get more from their offenses than we do on a consistent basis. I think Roman is a liability, gets bailed out by Herbert, and has cost us at least one win.
Defense wins games in the playoffs coupled with being able to run the ball! We gotta hope JK is back doing what he does at the season's end and the team is playing their best ball! I'm pretty sure Herbert will be on his A game if we do make the playoffs! 100% happy on how our team is progressing and where we are at.

Yes I agree. And when is the last time we had a rookie corner basically win the game for us? Besides the 2 picks and our only TD the play he made on London at the end to strip the ball at the 12 may have been a game saver. Sort of miraculous

But 12-5 is a REAL possibility
Who knows? These games play out strangely but anything is possible. Our offense scored 11 points yesterday.

They are really finding good FA and draft backups who can step in play at near the same level as the starters. Since the start of the year until yesterday were down starters at ILB, CB, FS and OLB Mack and Bosa aren't 100%. I know under TT we would be a hot mess w these injuries and the season would be lost.

But the D is still strong and won the game for us yesterday. FAs like Molden, Marcus Maye and Tony Jefferson can all step in and still play. Sort of like BAL who are good yr in and out after losing many of their stars in FA but have backups who are near starter level to step in.

This season has been a success already IMO. KC is the only unbeatable team on the rest of the schedule. Realistically even going 11-6 or 10-7 will likely get a wc. Pretty good turnaround.
great turnaround, agreed. but as far as qj...he's not on track. dropped another ball that was in his hands but because a db got a hand on him he wasnt able to secure it. he caught 2 passes for 12 yards? he will not have me believing until he can make catches on the regular and also make catches with a little bit of contestability (sp?). these FA signings have been pretty damn money! telescon woulda gone under the bottom side of the barrel for cheap FA that are over the hill or simply suck just to say he was trying to improve the team. MAN what a difference a legit HC and GM can do!

I'm not sure why the Chargers didn't run more. Both Edwards and Vidal had over 5 ypc. They were running the ball pretty well.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!
