Hardman signed with the Jets March of '23 and was traded back for a scrap player and a late pick. The Jets got something for him so I'd guess "castof'f'" isn't completely accurate.Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post
Chiefs drafted Hardman in the 2nd round, he was a castoff?
But was close.

Pick/rub plays.Originally posted by jamrock View PostPopper's analysis this week of how teams shut down the Chargers offense focused on shifting from zone to man. The only guy that can beat man coverage is Conk and they doubled him in the 2nd half against Atl. The Chiefs play more man than most and will certainly play it even more against the Chargers. Do we have a counter?

A running QB has a distinct advantage vs man. With Man coverage the DBs eyes are on the WR looking down field not upfield so the are slower to react when the QB pulls the ball in and runs. I would design a lot of rollouts and give Herbert the green light to run all day. I would also design some Herbert Run plays. Pass on first down go heavy online on second and third down and run at Jones with both Matlock and Die hitting him hard all game long.Go Rivers!

Herbert rolling one way and then throwing deep the other way was a play we used to see with some regularity and some success. Herbert needs to be more assertive, something manning and Brady learned as their careers progressedOriginally posted by Stinky Wizzleteats+ View PostA running QB has a distinct advantage vs man. When they play M2M I expect them to spy on Herbert . . . . . . . . seems obvious that Herbert's legs are probably the best way for us to be successful on offense . . . . . . . I doubt KC's missed that memo. Crossers and picks are the name of the game for us since most of our receivers can't create separation on their own. I wouldn't count on Herb's legs bailing us out.Originally posted by Stinky Wizzleteats+ View PostA running QB has a distinct advantage vs man.
