I have said from the beginning, this is a 9 win team -- at best. They simply lack the offensive talent to get over the hump. Could they steal a win and get to 10? Probably. But everyone should be ready for this team not making the playoffs. But from 5 wins to 10 wins in the first year of a rebuild is a HUGE turnaround. Also, not making the playoffs will make Harbaugh and this team hungry.

Herbert missed Palmer, but I've watched that play several times and Palmer seemed to mess up the route and in having to adjust, lost a few steps. Could Herbert have laid it up a bit? Yes. Tough to watch live for sure.

Folks like to attack Roman, but the offensive talent is lacking. Vidal is simply not a very good book. He cannot pass block, which is why he hasn't played much. He might have a role or place, but this team needs to draft another RB. As far as Smartt, the team hasn't used him because his blocking is poor. He gives up too much as a blocker and that creates problems in other areas. Harbaugh has his idea of players he wants, and he wants and needs players that are tough and that are unselfish and block well. That's why Donald Parham is not on this team any more. Maybe Smartt though creates enough plays to help this offense -- but the blocking will suffer.

If the Chiefs game didn't show this enough, the IOL is just awful. Pipkins may be bad, but Zion Johnson isn't much better. And Bozeman, good lord, he is poor. The way to beat this offense is pressure through the middle and man. Hard to beat anyone given the deficiencies at IOL and WR.

A bright spot? QJ may not have been worthy of a first round pick, but he has a place in the NFL. Watching him play mad and physical suits him. He needs to play that way. He needs to use his physical tools to his advantage. He needs to welcome contact and use his speed and power.

By the way, did anyone else see that super cringy ad right before the game, basically challenging other teams to do something about Chiefs constantly winning close games? LOL

Who comes up with this shit? #WWE NFL approved

I was hugely annoyed by the KC OT who was marginally lined up illegally, moving before the snap drawing Joey offsides for the flag repeatedly negating some big plays.
Herbert overthrew a wide open Palmer to miss an easy TD.
Dicker misses the drop zone for the first time on his last kickoff, giving KC a start on the 40 for their winning drive. Etc, etc, etc.

Games don't get any closer than that.
        We lost. Bummer.
Ah yes, the infamous Jawaan Taylor. Nobody gets away with more false starts & holds than that guy.

NFL refs ~ “Well, he does it so much, we wouldn’t want to disrupt the flow of the game now, would we?”

your arguments are bad because you have no perspective on how hard it is to play NFL QB and hit a guy running full stride 40 yards away. If it was easy, QBs would be paid $5M/year or maybe league min and we'd have hundreds to thousands of great NFL QBs in every retail counter in the country.

Palmer didn't make every catch - ergo he had a critical mistake and sucks. Same for every receiver on the team - every one of them (Except Chark, who apparently isn't allowed to play)
Not one OL player made every block so each of them suck
No RB read every hole/gap or made the right cut perfectly on every run - so they all suck
Same can be said for every single defender on the team. not one defender made every single play. So every single one of them also suck

It is ignorant analysis to call out one incomplete pass and ignore the rest of the game. Herbie played well. Picking a play is the dumbest possible way to analyze Herbie's game.
Herbert overthrows every now and again where a floater would have resulted in an easy catch. Or the times when he had an open receiver and didn't see him. It happens, I think to all NFL QBs who have a great arm.

We can appreciate that but it's still going to be a gut punch to miss out on the playoffs after starting 7-3, 8-4. Two things can be true at once.
If we miss the playoffs it'll be because we didn't belong. We just lost to the 2023 SB Champs by a FG that clanged in off the goal post.
I wanted to win but expected a close game. It doesn't get any closer than that.
So currently the best we can do is 12-5. That should get a playoff ticket.
Many TPB Gurus expected an 8-9 season. 10 or 11 Ws is probable today. We just gotta play 'em.

              BOY fans are sure negative!!
Let take some positive vibes. The DEFENSE played awesome last night. I was very impressed!! a couple of rookies, some castoffs and some low lever pickups and yet they gave Mahomes fits!!.
Charger may make the playoff and even if they do they are not going far. BUT remember last year we only won 5 games are were terrible!!.
Next year they need the get some weapons and if they do...... watch out!!

Your 8 or 9 win prediction is in serious danger. 10 or better is close to a lock. We lost in the last second to a FG vs the best team we'll play the rest of the season. We're the favorite to win in the next 4.

Relax guys, Bills losing in that manner to the lowly Rams and Chargers losing has given them home field and the AFCW Crown to the Chiefs, its all NFL scripted, the NFL now owes the Bills and the Chargers, we will get our reward next year and playoffs assured this year. This is the last year of the Chiefs wining the SB.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I have seen enough from this league.
