Can't miss that throw, though. Not in a tight, divisional game.

If you want to say it's not fair to pin the loss on that one play - fair enough. But enough shielding him from any sort of criticism whatsoever.

Does Mahomes miss that throw? Josh Allen? Sam freaking Darnold this year?

Yes it's year 5 and we need some goddamn statement/signature wins FFS.
You stand by it? Well, coming from the dude that called Herbert "glass" that makes a lot of sense.

Mahomes misses throws like that all the time. He missed a couple last night. He's actually been wildly inaccurate this season with *checks notes* 11 picks.

And, BTW, all those guys you mentioned have MUCH better offensive weapons than Herbert. If Herb was throwing to Justin Jefferson instead of Josh Palmer, that would've been a TD. Sam Darnold with the Chargers receiving crew would be absolute dogshit. Just like he has been for the majority of his career.

You're the type of fair-weather fan who thinks Tua is a better QB because he throws for more yards.

Palmer was wide wide open. You can't miss that throw. But he did. Would it have changed the outcome? Who knows.

Herbert is tough, not glass and a good QB.

He has have one point though. Herbert does lack the signature wins of the great QBs.

We can make all the excuses we want and there have been some legitimate ones at times, but we are 5 years in now and Herbert doesnt really have any moments of big wins against the best teams

Yeah, he should hit that. But you know what...every single QB misses throws from time to time. Herb isn't perfect.

I'm more concerned about our D whiffing three times on bringing Mahomes down on the final drive when we had the lead.

I agree. But, you know what? Herb did lead the team back and took the lead with 4 minutes left. If that was Burrow, the media would be glazing him. And then blaming the D for not sealing the win.

I don't think that was on Herbert. Palmer slowed up just a touch and that put the ball just barely out of reach. Andy yes, Mahomes and Allen miss those throws too.

But apparently it wasn't even in the top 10 of why we lost a 2 point game.

Must have been Palmer's fault he wasn't born with 4.3 speed.

Yep Henley needed to make that one play and we get the ball back with time to win. But Mahomes has been doing this for years to everybody.

Not saying Herbert has to be perfect but that's twice now that he's missed Palmer on long balls for TDs. Those are throws the franchise QB should make.

Yup...Mahomes is pretty inaccurate on those throws. Hence the 11 picks this year.

Palmer prob slowed down because go routes aren't really his game with that 4.52 speed. And we all assume Palmer would catch the ball, too. That's not exactly a given.

I'm not doubting his toughness. He never misses time. He deserves a lot of credit for that.

But he gets dinged/hurt a lot. A lot. That's why I always cringe a little when people here want him to run even more.

That was on Palmer...watch it again...Palmer adjusts right, looks back, sees he is offline and tries to straighten out, but loses a step or two...if he had kept on line, the pass would have been perfect...

Funny, I heard it was one of the top reasons we lost...and it was all Herbo's fault.
