Your 8 or 9 win prediction is in serious danger. 10 or better is close to a lock. We lost in the last second to a FG vs the best team we'll play the rest of the season. We're the favorite to win in the next 4.

We will see. They need to get to 9 first. I think that is going to be much harder than people realize. If they don't get it this weekend, I'm pretty comfortable in saying they don't get to 10. They may be the "favorite" by those betting, but getting to 10 is going to take a Herculian effort if you look at the teams. I think they get to 9 by winning the last game of the year.

Harbaugh gets many kudos, deserved, for the work and changes he has done with this team. We all love the hire, thats not in question.

But to keep balanced I would say the one chink in his armor has been game management ina few games this year.

Last night, why did he punt from the Chiefs 39 yard line? I dont think you beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead by going conservative. Make a first half statement and go for it to set the tone, or give your outstanding, strong legged kicker a chance to make a 56 yard field goal for a very valuable 3 points in a close game.

I've said earlier that I think we can win out. We've Won 8 games WITHOUT putting together 4 solid Quarters. Mickie D's Honky is coming back, Perryman is coming back, Dobbins is coming back. There's been a Smartt & Vidal sighting. Gus is playing better. I choose to see the positives.

Disagree. At that point the direction the game was going was not clear. What was clear was that our D was playing well and keeping the Chiefs in check.
The last thing you want to do is give Mahomes a short field. We saw exactly how that worked out when we messed up the kick off on their last drive.
You punt and give the D a chance to get the ball back. Which on that occasion was exactly what happened.

The thing you cannot do is score 0 points in the first half and expect to beat the Chiefs.

With this OL, I think it's very dangerous to go for it on a 4th down, especially against the Chiefs.
Punting and hoping for a TO was a more intelligent move.

Nope. That is 3 times vs KC that Herbert has driven us downfield for the go ahead score with less than 5 minutes left only to have KC drive back down against our D and win the game.

Well as I suggested a FG would have been 3 points in the first half, not zero. We lost by 2 points.

When you are having trouble scoring points, I dont think you get conservative when in range to do so, not to get a rare win in Arrowhead

Herbert does have to be just about perfect for us to win and last night showed it. He missed one pass and we lost.

I also really hate this "throws franchise QBs should make" argument - Mahomes missed more passes last night than Herbert did. Josh Allen missed passes. Every QB misses passes every game. Herbert played with backup level skill players and still got us the lead late, which the D could not hold. Is he perfect? Nope, but some of the takes here - SMH.

He also had 4-5 drops last night in the first half that killed drives. Are those on Herbert as well? Do the receivers share any of the blame at all? Even a tiny bit? Chargers are one of the worst teams with dropped passes this year, how come the guys trying to catch the ball get a free pass (except for QJ)? He gets hammered.

Not well within his range. 56 yards is iffy, especially outside. If you miss Mahomes makes you pay. It was not a do or die situation. Harbaugh
made the right decision. We punted, KC got the ball back and punted back to us. Unfortunately our offense was crap in the first half. That pretty
much tells the story of the game.

Except, Dicker (and the Chiefs kicker), seemed to have problems kicking it into the end zone. There seemed to be wind. I assume during pre-game, Harbaugh determined that was too far for Dicker and thus did not want to simply give KC a short field. Pinning them was a better choice.

If the IOL was not so dreadful, I think this team would go for it more often. But man, they are dreadful. Pipkins' PFF grade has to be pretty low from last night's game.
