Allow me to do the heavy lifting for BoltX.

If you consider Herbert a franchise QB, then yeah, he's not delivering and is as responsible for the loss as anyone.
Given that you aren't getting what you are paying at $50 million dollars a year, its a big concern.

He's a 500 QB .... even with Harbaugh as head coach..

The draft questions about Herbert not anticipating receivers getting open before their break are starting to creep up again,
and the Chargers are getting killed by blitzing teams with Herbert not getting the ball out.

Today, he looked confused .....it happens too often. I don't blame it all on McConkey, QJ, Palmer and Chark.
When the D is sending blitzers all game, the offensive line needs some help in the QB getting rid of it, or moving to reduce the pressure.

Maybe the problem is Roman ... the combination of the two is just not working out, given that they can't run the ball.

I considered Herbert on draft day another Drew Bledsoe ... who was a good/solid NFL quarterback.

I'm starting to have questions about Herbert as a franchise QB.

Well, before the playcall, how about sitting Herbert if he's a sack or two away from not being Herbert?
I suggested as much and now it's hurting more know that looks like the case.
I get all the arguments against it, but Herbert's health is my priority number 1 at this point.

A healthy heineke might be better than a super gimpy herbert at this point in time. rest herbert on thursday.

well, he certainly can't coach his players up to do so....

Maybe they are at their ceiling and they just arn't good. Zion and Pip haven't been that great the last few years.

The Bucs have given up a lot of yards but their defensive line had the most pressures in the entire NFL over the past five games before ours. It did not change today and since we can't run and have one receiver who can get early separation in Ladd, and we end up with what we saw today. The harsh reality is we are outmanned and it will take one or two more years to fix the holes and depth in the roster.

Hell no, fix the offense with a better oc next season. Even harbaugh can't fix the one trick pony called roman.

He was hit literally every single down... He was on the ground most of the game... Like I said, insane.

Do you guys really think Harbaugh is going to fire Roman? Not do you want him fired, do you actually think he will? I would put the chances of it happening at less than 1 percent.

Harbaugh needs to realize that Roman is not the answer. He cannot let the offensive ship sink because of blind loyalty to his friend.

I think Roman gets 1 more year with some upgrades Olinemen, a TE1 and a couple new WRs. But they do need to bring in a young innovative offensive mind to bring some new ideas within this O. Marcus Brady and Trestmen are of the same mindset and have been around for years.

I was critical of the D during the game but we can’t ignore that a functioning offense takes a lot of pressure off of the other unit. We didn’t force a TB punt today and also were 0-6 on 3rd downs. We don’t have to pick the scapegoat as both units were awful.

This isn't one of those losses where "we just don't have the players," like versus Baltimore. This loss is on coaching; the team wasn't ready to play this game, and they didn't adjust the offense to account for Herbert's injury.

Harbaugh makes so-so players look way better then they are..... TB's backup defenders covered our receivers very well..... and their DC was smart enough to keep blitzing up the middle where chargers are weakest......

Chargers weaknesses have been exposed before, but it was dismissed because the teams that beat us before were viewed as top contenders like KC, ravens, etc....

EVERY great running team has beaten us..... though this team is vastly improved from previous years when bad rushing teams would run all over the Chargers....

We could not score on TB after first 3 series of this game..... and I'm not sure we got a first down in 2nd half except for a couple of penalties....

In a few days, we will be playing a much better defense that destroyed the colts (who the Chargers would have a tough time beating)....DEN will be a very tough game this Thursday...though home teams almost always win on Thursday....

Even with a rookie QB, DEN is better in the trenches and secondary than Chargers..... Chargers might not win this game either.... TB has a bad pass defense and we could not score on them after the first few possessions.... and we did not even get first downs???.... i can see not scoring but we did not even get first downs????? why?????

Chargers will have to beat NE and raiders on road who will both be highly motivated to be spoilers.....to have a shot at playoffs....

You realize there is an oline coach right? Should he be fired or just Roman?

I am just observing the entire staff...Harbaugh, Roman, Devlin, Hardwick....

They talk tip of the spear....how it is the foundation of the team....this regime is very o line focused....so maybe figure out sometthing more functional?

Its game after game, Herbert injury after injury. There is just no improvement 15 weeks into the season
