Denvers hope is that KC doesn't need the last game of the season as unless something changes with the Browns offense today -- Denver will be going to play a tough Bengals offense on the road

I don't. I just want them to get in the POs. That would be a huge accomplishment and would exceed my expectations.

I'll just say this on not expecting them to win the SB this year, anything can happen when you get in. Just get in and let the chips fall where they may...

My goal for this year was always just get in the playoffs, I called 10-12 wins, 12 is out but 11 is in range. I don’t think we have the roster to win 3 games in a row against the best to even get to the SB much less then beat DET or PHI. Seems everyone here agrees with that, makes sense.

If so - then what is best for the 2025 team? Are two PO games experience a lot better for the younger players, with some taste of a PO win in WC week? Maybe, or maybe it’s about the same as one PO game experience. Idunno, just pondering what is the best setup for 2025, do we draft later if we get to the Div round or are all playoff teams except the two SB teams still slotted based on reg season record?

If we don’t play Buffalo in WC week, do we just face them the next week if we win? Or would we go to KC - that is a reason for me to want to not go to Buffalo in WC week and win because … Fuck The Chiefs. Otherwise - fuck it, tell us where to go and we’ll show up. And then - as you say, who knows - things can happen. PITT won their last SB with their QB playing like shit. (Refs have since adopted Mahomes as their step-son)

One thought: the further we advance in the playoffs, the more attractive we will be to FAs this offseason.

In the AFC, I really believe the Chargers can beat any of the teams minus Buffalo. I think just getting in would be great for the younger players and getting a win would be even better. Maybe they go further than one and done maybe not but just get in.

We will worry about 2025 team next year. Not much you can do about it now. I would take playoff wins over draft positions any time of the day. I think the Chargers are in good hands with Hortiz/Harbaugh and company, IMHO.

There are only 2 players on the team who have actually won a playoff game with the Chargers: Joey Bosa and Derwin James. I want the team to get that experience. Also, one of the few negatives that I hear about Justin Herbert is that he hasn't/can't win in the playoffs. I would like to see him be able to put that to rest.

I do not agree that the Chargers cannot beat anyone based on our roster. I would agree that a SB W is not a high probability. Let's play it out and make choices in our off season.
I agree with a preseason guess of 11-12 wins. I guessed the same.10 bottom line. I guess that I like this roster and coaching staff better than most.

I just looked up NE stats. On D they give up a lot more points per game - their run D and pass D yds are close to ours.
O offense, they're better running, not as good passing or PPG.
Looks like they've improved. They leading the Bills 14 - 7 in the 2nd.
We can't just screw around with this team.
