for those that don't want to click links ... I wonder if Salyer at RG is because Pipkin's oblique muscle or his oblique vision to see stunts and blitzers?

All defensive ends maintain contain.

Funny how we always play the AFC south.

          I got Chargers 28-23.
If the Chargers win, Derwin will almost certainly have had a big role.

I like that group right now. Very underrated IMO.

And I'd love to see Salyer starting at RG too! In place of Pipkins. Pip can come in to give a breather for Slater once in a while but I would like to have Salyer starting for sure.
Circling back to this post, I honestly think Derius Davis is underutilized. The kid is undersized, but he's got a bit of a Tyreek Hill, Steve Smith and TY Hilton in him. He can make some nice catches, like the TD that got called back against the Raiders due to the Pipkins penalty, not to mention the TD in the Broncos game. He takes a licking in the return game, but as far as I know, he hasn't been injured all that much for his size and weight. If he can put on maybe another 20 pounds on his frame and not lose too much of his speed, he can be very dangerous if he can learn the full route tree. He'd be especially dangerous on the boundary, or in the slot especially in off-script play scenarios. Another possibility if he can gain weight is to convert him into a 3rd down RB and make him into another Darren Sproles, potentially.

MWill will be available as a cheap vet pickup this offseason.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
              Let’s win one for Mack.

Chargers have been very vanilla in their playcalling thsi year. No flea flickers, no halfback options -- that I can recall

Maybe time to loosen it up a bit and yes, that means getting DD.

How about just a go pattern -- tell DD to run down the field , straight ahead ---

Did you see his catch in the endzone against New England? I don't know how many WRs can make that fully extended catch. I agree he needs to be thrown to more. Especially because he can run after the catch.

It’s gonna be a fun game. This team is a great team. But if you look at that Team not being a Chargers fan.

The Chargers are the most balanced team in the NFL with Offense Defense and Special Teams.

I just am not sure Allen or MWill are going to be on Hortiz radar. Maybe for cheap.

Neither are worth losing a comp pick for - if the Chargers are in the comp pick game - thats for sure

Plus, I still see WR1/2 more of a priority

There have been a few flea flickers. They use a lot of mesh and motion concepts, and that has increased significantly the last few games. It doesn't look too vanilla to me at this point.
