Then you trade for JJ Mcarthy and get Jeanty and a bunch of help. It COULD work out but if it doesn’t it would be a huge whiff of historic proportions.

Harbaugh loves Herbert too much imho, but there is a reality where something like this is going to occur lol
If the roster is significantly improved next year and Herbert has another similar performance or misses the playoffs entirely - you need to pick up the phone and at least start talking to other GMs.

Coaching lost this game. Two special teams fuck ups? Dicker not knowing what to do with a blocked kick? Can’t stop their O or D? We will be better.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
      Let’s win one for Mack.

Ok based on what I’m reading a trade of Herbert isn’t crazy cap wise. We lose 12 million but if we can get a haul for him and still get JJ Mcarthy it’s out of the realm of bat shit crazy and more into the realm of cray cray. 🤪

We caught a break this year that the AFC had like 5 good teams and then the rest was mediocrity. Harbaugh was able to take advantage of that and he delivered.
First order of business in the spring should be to sign a top notch receiver. Maybe we can find a team to take QJ for a 5th or 6th round pick. QJ, to me, has proven he is never going to be a number 1 receiver. Chark was a non eventful signing.

I mean, he's not even on the same planet as guys like Allen, Mahomes, Lamar, Burrow right now.

Maybe he can have a bit of a resurgence like Goff did when surrounded by more talent (minus getting traded of course).

I dunno, it just feels like a gut punch after the way he had played all year and especially the final month of the season. Was it just a one time bad game, or now a pattern of poor playoff performance?

Just doesn't leave you with a great feeling going into year freaking 6...

Blow up this IOL...use one of them MOABs.

Can we expect Poona/Tart to resign and repeat ?

              I KNOW we need weapons.

              But give me trenches !!
They definitely need to get younger and faster on the edges. They look like they are plodding through mud when they run.
              1) Cut Becton, Boz(ret), Dissly, DD, Fisk, and Dupree
              2) Re-sign Tart, Hand (4m), Phillips (5m)
              3) Sign the ERFA's Williams, Patterson, and Vidal (3m).
              4) Sign free agents Cole Strange (OG-1.5 m), Whyatt Teller (OG-10m), Luke Fortner (OC-6.5m), Brunskill (OC-vet min) Leo Chenal (LB-5m), Rashid Shaheed (WR- 14m), Cade Otten (TE-8m) Greg Dulcich (TE-3m), K'Lavon Chaisson (ED 9m), Myers (DT-7.8m), Alec Ingold (FB-6m), Hendrickson (ED-25m), Seumalo (OG-9m), AVT (OG). Jenkins (OG- 12m)

QJ reminds me of Mike Williams never a number 1 receiver but can excel if he’s the number 2. He’s never going to be the guy but as a number two as the 3rd or 4th option he could be serviceable.

Who is blaming only Herbert? I could throttle Will Dissly right now. Those 2 drops were agregious and directly caused an 11 point swing and huge loss of opportunity. The line was a sieve.

But are you ok with your 275 million franchise QB being 14/32 , a 40 QB rating and more picks in the playoff game than he had all season? On the biggest stage he played thw worst game I can ever recall. Not good enough 5 years in.

Herbert is not into the Harbaugh pre-game shoulder pad-helmet thing. He looks like a cat with a mouse in his mouth or someone who crapped his pants...something....mojo killer.

And time to throw, a critical element to a good passing offense.

Would love to hear about Herbert working out this offseason with Brady, Rivers, WHOEVER. Something different. Maybe he needs to go to Gruden's QB camp again.
