I was worried this rumor was true, social media was sleuthing hard on this. I am also still worried because can we really trust what his agent says about his availability and health at this point. I guess he is not on the PUP list but is expected to not be available at start of camp and I was seeing chatter that Hampton may have made him unnecessary even before this injury.

This is a two back team so it’s not Hampton that would make Najee unnecessary.

It would be one or more of the other backs….Raheem Sanders, Kimani Vidal, Hassan Haskins….moving up the depth chart with superlative training camps and preseason games.

Yeah according to Popper in the Athletic he still has not been seen by anyone in the organization and was being treated at Stanford even though players were supposed to report yesterday. Najees buddy apparently was severely injured. So far all we have is his agent trying to calm everyone down including our GM and that he will be fine for the season but that may mean he misses the entire pre season and camp which is not good. I don't know how reliable his agent saying he will be fine at this point should be considered but his injury is bad enough they want him to keep getting treated and not report yet.

Najee is with the team in meetings, etc and will be seeing Chargers med staff. Fully cleared news to follow.
