I think he will be what we hoped Gus Bus would be. I don't think that's a #1 back but if we improve the IOL he could be the best guy we've had since Melvin Gordon. I really like Dobbins but understand the availability concerns.

Let the finished product unfold folks. This time last year plenty were freaking out in doom but Hortiz and team filled a nice roster. …that ranked as #1 D….with nary a few dolkars in the wallet. Just because we didnt sign them doesnt mean we didnt try….we just werent highest bidder and there are a variety of reasons why a guy picks a team. I personally hate paying top dollar for guys as its usually overspent value and hurts the team. Some teams are willing to blow their wad of cash on a few guys then get shit for depth of even starters. We just have to operate without emotion here or its so easy to fuck up the whole plan. Now that big money is being thrown to the wind is when Hortiz is going to do his magic. Just let the big chef cook dinner folks…he has a plan and NONE OF US know it which can be frustrating…but i trust the dude.

Yes he gets you 1000 yards...if you give him 300 carries.

His career rush ave is under 4 yards. His longest run in all those carries over 4 years is 37 yards. This is a plodder added to an offense thad badly needs some explosve players.

1k yds per 250 carries. No injuries. Najee is a consistent 240lb plugger.with good hands. He moves the ball. We could use that. Bring back Dobbins for the speed and explosion. There's a place for a RB who plays every game and makes the tough yds. Look for explosions from WRs receiving TEs and not Najee RBs. We're a long way from training camp and the cut to 52. Hortiz will find the offensive balance and depth that Harbaugh and Roman need.

surprisingly the guy catches the ball out of the backfield that’s what he did at Alabama with Mac Jones who couldn’t throw the ball down the field and Davonte Smith. He was the security blanket.

Gonna be really good doing that with Herbert. I see a lot of him catching the ball in space and getting out there with Alt plowing guys and scoring making big plays downfield.

Yep...if Grant is there @#22, he's probably the pick...unless we go IOL...maybe go TE in round 2 and Scattebo later on...

Durability word is durability. He’s played games. Basically he plays every game in his career. He’s a running back that you can give the ball to. This helps Herbert especially in Goal line.
