MW is a shell of his former self due to injury and age...

6 mil is cheap though and he is STILL better than Palmer.

To expect 1k yards from him is a little extreme.
I don't know what to expect ..... so its a lot like the Fulton / JK Dobbins / Hurst signings.

Chargers are betting that he will come back somewhat to form.

Mdub doesn't have a lot of mileage the last 2.5 seasons

Its def a gamble for 30 year old glass, and "only 6 million" still seems crazy to me. This should almost be embarrassing for QJ, bringing back the old man you were supposed to replace.

I want to see this again. On the same team.

              Glad to see Mike back.

This offsets losing Josh Palmer more or less and pushes QJ back down the depth chart where he belongs.

Another quality receiver or two still mandatory in draft or FA but this puts us back to even from last season.

^^^this^^^ I think this goes to show that they dont have a whole lot of faith in butterfingers, no-contested-catch-ability qj.

QJ was never suppose to be a contested catch WR. They gave him a chance and that’s not his game. I think QJ and MW are going to be stoked playing together again.

he has the build to be but doesnt know how to use his natural physical traits. I hope MW being back lights a fire under qj's ass. I'm about done with his (in)abilities.

Now I’m not comparing QJ to Adams but in Devante Adams first 2 seasons, he had 950 years and 4 TDs. QJ has 1100 and 10TDs. QJ made big strides from year 1 to year 2. I expect another jump from him. Remember MW first 2 seasons?

I also think its possible that they were interested in Adams, interested in Metcalf, interested in other receivers but those guys just aren't keen on playing in a Greg Roman offense. Our passing offense was about as much of a one-man show as you'll see in the NFL and Ladd finished with 1149 yards and 7 TDS. Great numbers. But if you're someone like Adams or Metcalf thinking about coming here, I think its reasonable to expect that (1) the offense will be more run-heavy than it was last year, as Hortiz/Harbaugh/Roman continue to bring in their guys and churn the roster and (2) you won't get the same target share that Ladd got last year. You're probably not going to have a huge statistical year or be in consideration for All-Pro or OPOY.

Upgrade over Palmer given that neither of them can stay on the field for a full season. When he’s on the field Justin will know where Mike is and get him the ball and maybe just stick with the vertical game for him and no more horizontal passes at the LOS in traffic? He made a couple big plays last year so it’s still there just gotta stay on the field.
