"...asking for too much money after we helped him resurrect his career" isn't *exactly* the same thing as "ungrateful", although I think it's fair to say that it's in the same zip code. IMO, it's a disservice allege that about Dobbins, who by all accounts busted his ass for the Bolts. Still, a reasonable catch on your part, since you didn't use the actual word 'ungrateful'.

We can be Charger fans without resorting to fabricating reasons to diss a former Bolts' attitude, just because it didn't work out for him to remain with the team. Let's show Dobbins some grace-- He won't be an enemy, unless he signs with one of the Bolts' AFC West rivals.

I really liked JK. Seemed like a very down-to-earth guy and grateful for the opp. He was always smiling and seemed like a guy full of positive energy. It was too bad he got injured again or he'd be getting pretty big bucks this year. I hope that we can still bring him back on a deal that is beneficial to both sides.

I want a switch up 3rd down back with low thread wear that can block, catch, and has speed. Perhaps we get that in the draft.

Now in terms of JK and his deal. No way we're paying him more than half of what Najee signed for.

I think if he’s still unsigned after the draft, we try to bring him back on a cheap deal. Assuming he wants to come back to us.

agree with all of this. i don't know if that injury was more than it seemed. he looked really good until then.

Metcalf? He went elsewhere already and for a lot more than 3-4M. JK, LOL I know you meant JK.

if the RB class wasn't so good he'd be on the roster already, if JK doesn't get snatched up before the draft and the Chargers don't grab a rookie in the draft, then there could be a small chance that JK gets re-signed then, but it's a remote chance IMO...

IMO, Dobbins is not resigning with the Chargers. He wants to eat, he showed it after every good run. He’s not going to eat with Najee here and he knows it. Dobbins wants to prove he can be the guy and his history shows that he can when healthy but that’s a big “when”.

I suspect pride doesn’t let him play second fiddle to Najee, Dobbins has always been the guy in the RB room, he won’t be that here.

On a side note, I’m not sold on Roman wanting a speedy back. I think Roman and Harbaugh want a sledge hammer. They are going to throw body blow after body blow at Defenses with Najee and a rookie and reap the benefits late in the game. Dobbins is ok at that but Najee is the bigger more reliable sledge hammer.

RBs do that as a gesture to feed them the ball. Zeke that that a lot in Dallas and now he is broken down
