What is about this defense's inability to get a stop on third and long? It is incredible...the 3rd and 20 to AJ in the third quarter was brutal. 3rd and 20 and Wright runs with AJ for 15 yards and then stops to cover his middle zone in front of him and Weddle is covering his deep zone at about 25 yards and AJ slips right in between for the wide open first down catch. WTF? An over-under coverage designed to protect 15 yards and under with an over the top that plays the 25 yard and over deep ball on 3rd and 20?? After that play you could just see Weddle put his head back and slump his shoulders in total frustration.

The sad thing is if you listen to that Dilfer interview, he spoke with Weddle about the third and long conversion rate. Dilfer said that completing a 3rd and longer than 10 is down in the teens as far as percentage completed Weddle had even mentioned to him that those should be gimmes for the defense yet they keep giving them up. And that interview was before the game where we gave up the two killer ones that led to TDs.

Well I went to the game and the girl I was with (dating, but not my girlfriend) got arrested when we were up 28-7. I left the game and by the time I got off the trolley it was 28-28. Luckily, I got home just in time to see the Texans game winning Field Goal.

Tonight couldn't have gone any better.
