were you really expecting our D to play Ravenesque the whole game? they were getting overpowered in the first half, and Texans also shot themselves a lot in the foot more than we were stopping them.

We have the worst pass defense in the league after 2 weeks giving up an average of 375 yards per game, have allowed 5 TD passes and teams have completed almost 70% of their passes against us. They got destroyed today again and they surely weren't gassed after playing less than 20 minutes.

That and even the Ravens gave up 7 TD's to Manning already. I hope we aren't Ravenesque too often this year.

They have blown a lot of assignments, but then again we have a brand new secondary and Weddle was playing ILB most of the game. It wasn't going to gel overnight. The secondary will be a work in progress. It doesn't help facing an offense that is trying to confuse everyone with their formations and that has 1 game tape.

That said we limited their running game significantly. You generally can't stop both.

Our zone schemes in particular are a fucking disaster.

And, do you think that one could turn the tables on the Chargers and say there isn't a lot of film of their offense also? I have to say, other teams are trying to win games too. They may actually make adjustments and learn from watching what the Chargers do as well.

There were plenty of blown assignments in the Houston game by the secondary as well. Weddle wasn't playing at ILB though most of the game (maybe he should have though).

Obviously offenses will have to adjust as well, but most of our schemes are similar to what Denver ran last/this season. We just out executed the Philly D today.

I merely brought this up because IMO they are just as much to blame for the second half of the Houston game as the offense was.

Both sides had plenty of blame to share. Just saying it wasn't as one sided as people make it out to be.
