A few. And then we'll see how much money he demands (if he does well and grows). In which case he could be looking elsewhere. Things change so much in football that I never count on a guy being around for more than 3-4 years. Or about the length of ONE contract.

RG? Come on Smokey. Fluker is the closest thing to a quality RT prospect we have had in years. Yes, he would be a great RG too but he was drafted to be the RT and that's harder to find than a serviceable guard. For his first NFL game Monday night I thought he did well. Give the kid a chance. :smile:

I have never felt it was a negative in any way for Fluker to be an all-pro guard. Many people, on the other hand, insist on viewing that as a demotion. I'm not for pulling him now; we have no one behind him. But if Clary goes (which he will, unless he, too, agrees to some sort of salary re-do), then we're gonna need a GOOD OG. If Fluker - whom I like, by the way - is the best fit and would nail down that position for a FEW years , then there should be no hesitation to do so, IMO.

I would rather have both a good RG and RT than a very good RG and a bad RT. Just my opinion. Both Fluker and Clary did ok against the reigning Defensive Player of the Year for Game 1. Yeah our running game wasn't very good that night but I can only see it improving from here. Houston is clearly a better team than the Chargers right now, but they were only 3 points better last Monday.

At this point I think there are some pretenders at 3+0 and 2-1 and some good teams at 1-2. This team needs to get healthy and they may squeek out a winning season.
