People have the wrong perspective on Rivers. Rivers sat his first 2 years behind Brees hindering his stats even further whereas Ben and Eli didn't, plus if his son was 10 years old instead of a teen he had 3 or 4 more years in him and he could of become a ring chaser, his stats could of been top 2 when retired had first 2 years and last years were different. Also, Rivers was 1 quarter away from playing Eli in S.B. at a 18-0 Patriots team that have since then been busted from Mic-Gate calling in the Defensive positioning after allowed to per NFL rules, Flutie broke the story, with it being only a 14-12 score in the 4th quarter with NO Merriman, NO Gates, NO L.T. on a TORN ACL. 2006 & 2007 Rivers has 2 Superbowl rings if it were a best of 7 like the NBA, NHL & MLB does. 1st ballot HOF in any intelligent persons eyes. Best Charger QB ever which includes Fouts, Brees, Herbert because of his brains and grit.

I agree with you. Without those devastating injuries River definitely has at least one SB, maybe two.

And….Norv would have a SB trophy as well.

Strange how so many make excuses for River and blame Norv. I believe they both got Fucked by Fate.

I’m with you on the first two years but Rivers didn’t have 3 or 4 more years, IMO. He was cooked. 10 kids will do that.

He was hardly "cOoKeD" as he just went 11-5 for the Colts, 68% completion, 4169 yards, 24 TDs, 11 ints, 97% qb rating, on a new team in a new offense, oc, O line, wrs, etc. He was only 38 years old, Brady played until 45. Rivers had at least 2 to 3 more seasons.

He never complained, never missed the game, was always a lot of fun to watch and I don't think I ever heard him use a swear word.
The only thing he loved more than football is wife and ten kids.
