She just got accepted to SDSU yesterday too. I’d like that - it’s half the cost. Pac12 needs to get busy though cuz they ain’t close to 12 yet

Listening to the Mina Kimes podcast with Nate Tice - -he is good - like him, didn't realize he was son of Mike Tice
Anyway, like Jeremiah, a guy who likes the players in R2 and R3. Yes not a lot of blue chippers but green and yellow chips
So again, maybe if the right trade back comes along, get an extra third

Lee Hunter runs a horrible 40, lol...but when you watch the drills, you see the footwork, body control, and lateral agility in the big man. I like his attitude. First round cluster, for sure.

Malachi Lawrence may not survive as a third round pick in my signature mock...tested too well, and looked really good in drills...might climb up into the second...top 75 at least, imo...

My boy Golday looked pretty solid at 240 with his numbers...if you pretend the two Ohio St. freaks weren't there, lol...they made everyone look ordinary...but Golday did have an all around good combine.

I heard all year about how good a football player Jacob Rodriguez was, even though he wasn't the best athlete...well...ol' Jacob put THAT shit to rest...excellant test numbers to go with his college production. And he looked good in drills.

I really liked the way Zane Durant moves...is there a need/use for that type of player on our dline? Enough to spend a day 2 pick? I dunno...but I like him.

Reese, Styles, Allen, Golday, Rodriguez...is it just me, or is this the strongest LB class we have had in awhile?
I know I get enamored with a TE or LB every year, but this is my guy this year. "Too small", "too slow", "won't translate"... Rubbish. He's smart so if he reads a play before Johnny Freakydrawers he still gets to the ball at the same time or earlier. You're not in the right place at the right time 315 times. He knows what he's doing and he's a turnover causing machine. I'm not saying he'll be a sure fire Hall of Famer like Kuechly but he's in the same mold. Former QB so he understands Offensive schemes. And dude is a gamer. Not afraid to get in there and mix it up. 1/32 odds that we land him but I would sure be happy if we do.

Sometimes scouts and analyst just need to remember the game is football and draft football players. Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese were impressive but they also seem to be good at football. I think this guy will be maybe like Zach Thomas -ish - -just a solid NFL player. Though I think Zach was more than solid.

It's kinda like when you are older and you're playing with kids and you put your hand on their forehead then lock out your arm to where they can't hit or touch you. It's like that...lol
Almost everything you said is untrue. The only part that is true is that OT have longer arms.

This is the stupidity of statistics. People are using a stat stupidly and drawing an incorrect conclusion.

At one point, that was true of guys with 33 inch arms ... until it wasn't ... then it was 32 inch arms .... until it wasn't. The assumption is that it is simply not possible, because it cannot happen. OK, but that was once true of all stats. Stats have been an official statistics since 1980 (??) .. So, it wasn't until the mid 1980's that teams passed enough to build up 10 sack per year guys. Very few guys who can handle the other issues (speed, weight, strength ... ) have longer arms.

Most OT don't use their arm length very well, minimizing how much it helps. It does help in space somewhat, but particularly once the defender has gotten in close it doesn't help, which is what Bain is going to have to do.

The key for a player like Bain is to close the distance and get inside more quickly. Guys like Antwan Barnes (Chargers), David Woodley (Steelers), James Harrison (Steelers), Robert Mathis (Colts), and Dwight Freeney have been VERY successful. All were shorter guys with shorter arms, and all had multiple successful years in the NFL as pass rushers. They also all went against the whole convention that you had to be 6'3" or taller.

Banks is very tantalizing. I just worry about his effort and mental mindset. He is a freak and could possibly be the steal of the draft if he answers those concerns.

Reading about the Michigan State center. He sounds like a good prospect for the McDaniel zone scheme and may be there in the later rounds. Any have intel on him beyond the draft sites?

Lot of disparity across the experts on the crop of centers. Lew seems consensus best pick. But the rest are all over the place

A lot of people like Hecht from Kansas State -- Jeremiah mentioned him

@ pick 22 the cluster for us in no particular order (What Joe Hortiz gets paid the big bucks to decide):

                      1. Kaydon Proctor - OG/OT - IF he's athletic enough to pull and do what MM's needs done, pull the trigger.
                      2. Kenyon Sadiq - TE - A new blue-chip Weapon for Herbert must always be considered, and a 2nd TE position of need.
                      3. Kayden McDonald - DT - See the Eagles. A topflight DT must always be considered with the top pick.
                      4. Caleb Lomu - OT/OG - Here's the athletic OG/OT who can play both positions we desperately need.
                      5. Emmanuel Pregnon - OG - Is he athletic enough to do what MM needs him to do. If yes pick him.
                      6. Chase Biscontis - OG - Seems like the perfect prospect for MM, is such a position of need. Draft him if he's your day one starter.
                      7. Makai Lemon - WR - If he falls by some miracle. No brainer pick for Mr. Herbert.
                      8. If there's a generational shut down DB that falls to 22, have to seriously consider.

I have tried to watch pod casts with Tice, and I like Matt Harmon who he does some with, but there is something a bit cutesy, smirky, trying to be funny, about him sometimes that kinda bugs me lol

Word is , also mentioned by Haglund in his pod cast last night, that the Chargers absolutely LOVE Banks...and if he is there at 22 they are sprinting to the podium. Apparently they think his size and traits are rare and that Mike Elston could make him special
