Their WR corps without Rice isn't impressive, Kelce is going on 36, the Chargers have some good DBs. This **should** help the pass rush get into Mahomes' personal space.

I just want our receivers to get into their routes quickly. The quicker the better. That is crucial with our o-line and KC's front seven.

Worthy is supposed to be their speed/deep/home-run receiver. He had fewer yards and TD's than QJ last year. Think about that for a second.

In 6 seasons, Hollywood Brown has only had 1 year that was better than QJ's last year. How can we hate QJ so much but love these 2 so much...?

JuJu Smith-Schuster can't stay healthy. His last 2 seasons combined are not equal to QJ's last year.

On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs were informed by the NFL that wide receiver Rashee Rice will be suspended for the first six games of the 2025 regular seaso

Don't see it posted, sorry if I didn see it but rookie Royals won't be available for KC week 1.

I'm very much uncertain about this, and therefore must gently disagree.
                • One of the two rookie receiver could rapidly ascend above old-man Keenan. Not saying it will happen but very much could.
                • Conklin is far less a blocker than Fisk and a notable inferior blocker to Dissley. He's also less mobile than Gadsen.
I prefer to trust the coaches. They won't get it totally right (who does?) but they know a lot more then you, me or anyone on this forum.

There are some who think there is a league mandate: "YOU SHALL NOT HARM MAHOMES, though you are allowed occasionally to tackle him if you are able to do so by grabbing his shoestrings."

                  I'm one of those thinkers.

That said, the Chiefs benefit most from refs when games matter most. Early season games don't. Early on the League will focus on expanding viewership. I can see the league permitting a Charger upset on Friday.

hence why we're settling for Zion's pass blocking to keep his run blocking. Hampton, Fisk, Matlock etc
The plan is to be the most physical team in the division. Both sides. we're well on our way sans Slater injury.
in 2024 we had Bozeman, Zion, and Pipkins starting and the O-line wasn't all that good, now we have Bozeman, Zion, and Pipkins starting again but they're somehow transformed? Yes, Becton was added into the interior but Slater was also subtracted from the outside. Like I said, I'm cautiously optimistic but I don't see us pushing people around with Bozeman and Pipkins on the offensive line, granted Pipkins is a better tackle than he is a guard, but while that helps a little, overall without Slater, this offensive line got worse than the one we had in 2024 and I don't recall us pushing teams around in 2024...my hope is that the addition of more receiving threats is going to keep defenses more honest and keep the chains moving which gives the O-line a break and helps wear the opposing defense down. then you factor in the addition of Najee and Hampton later in games and what that could mean to defenses...but to come out of the gates and set the tone with our run game? I don't see it, we still need to add some horses to that O-line...

I don't trust Roman, his play calling has been ridiculously inconsistent and he carries on like he's got an untrustworthy chump playing the QB position, I still don't feel that he maximized the players we had last year, the talent around Herbert has been upgraded in 2025, Conklin, Harris, Allen, Harris, Hampton, KLS, and DD and QJ are said to be improved too, plus they got a better version of Smart in Gadsden...meanwhile the O-line might be worse than the group we had in 2024...right now my hope is that the changes in the skill positions will translate into more consistency on offense, to me it's ironic that for all the talk by Harbaugh and Roman about what they think of Herbert as a quarterback they still don't trust him to be more responsible for the offense on the field...Roman is like a baby in a carseat behind the wheel of a Ferrari, can't reach the pedals, the steering wheel, or the shifter...and HE'S the one that doesn't trust Herbert? LOL...

Wow. OK. Yet one of the greatest coaches in history is giving Roman a shot at year two. Look, I'm not a Roman fanboy by any means, but then I take a humble view of my own judgment about running elite offenses.

Just a guess: every bad play on offense this year you are gonna be cursing on Roman. Every failed play, all Roman's fault, right?
