Same. I have a Samsung 32" flatscreen I bought on clearance for $98 in 2012. It's as dumb as a rock, but it still works fine and the picture is still good. I don't want a smart TV because I don't want ads.

I have 3 smart TVs and don't get any ads. When you get it, you can turn off things so they won't pop up when you turn it on and when you want to you can go to the apps, for instance go to YouTube and open it up and watch the game. I don't even need to log in, just use it as a guest. That one is a Samsung 55" that is about 3-4 years old.

My TCL is a 43" and a little older 5 or so years old and I'd have to log in that one as TCL is a good TV but it's different than Samsung. I never get ads on that one either.

The oldest smart TV (42") is the least used and it's also a Samsung in a bedroom. No ads. 11 years old. Every one of them has a Amazon fire stick 4k Max plugged in them and only at initial setup do things pop up and ask if you want to sign in to this or add that. YouTube is also on those.

Smart TVs are pretty cheap these days. Need wifi to use a smart tv and I assume you have that.

I agree. I would like to see us leave the RB in to block and the TE also. Then pick them apart with Ladd and Keenan with an ocational down field with KLS, Harris, QJ or whoever. Score lots of points.

We should have lots of weapons if Herbert has time and he is more than capable of getting rid of it quick to put them on their heels for the more explosive down field throws.

I'm excited and I hope they are smart enough to bring lots of water. You can't drink the water there. Playing this game there actually pisses me off

Tre Harris is the key. I think the kid is a superstar. And should get a lot of one on one. I think he’s the difference and can make a huge difference. He’ll be the most added player in fantasy after this game.

You can have your cake (dumb tv) and eat it too.

I recommend a $25 fire stick dongle from Amazon. It plugs into an HDMI port which your 20 year old Sony has.

The fire stick will connect to your WIFI and then you have access to EVERY streaming service…YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Apple TV, etc…

Streaming offers much more on demand video content than ancient and more expensive cable tv that you probably have currently.

I watch streaming content via the fire stick from those services I listed probably 90% of the time versus Dish TV which I also have.

Getting YouTube and the rest of these streaming services is stupid simple via a cheap fire stick. This should motivate you more than one NFL football game.

nothing to do about race. One of the best halftime shows but all I heard and saw on Fox News was how anti American the halftime show was. Which made no sense to me as they made the halftime show as they made the American flag during the halftime show.


watched it with a Trump supporter and she had a debate with another woman two white women one thought it was great and listens to his music. The other Trump supporter white woman couldn’t stand it and thought it was bad anti American but the other Trump supporter was asking her what was so bad about it????


so I just didn’t get it. Those are two women.


So Taylor will be safe she won’t rock the boat and it will be lollipops and ice cream. I don’t care what you say.

Race is a part of the conversation but has been since Kap. I was making the point that Taylor takes the conversation away from the controversies of the NFL and brings it to something we can all agree on that we like her!!!!!!! And the NFL likes that.


So not being political but seeing and calling out what I see and why Godell likes Taylor.

I didn’t like his HT show, and I’m not racist. I don’t like his music, I don’t find it musically or lyrically interesting. I like many hip hop artists, his color was not a factor. I don’t care a whit if artists have different views of patriotism or politics, I only care if I find them interesting, I did not find his show interesting at all. Thats ok, not everything is for me, but I’m not a racist just because I didn’t appreciate his “art”. The last 5 HT shows were POC artists, most of them I did like. Longer ago, Prince was the best HT show they ever produced (jmo), Top 3 for sure.

You don’t have to - I’m not a fan of her music either - but if they did land her for their show, it would be because she is the biggest and most popular recording and touring star on the planet, not because she is white and they want to white it up. the charge that NFL wants to white it up is observably untrue.

Goodell likes money. Booking the #1 artist is money, you should stop looking for 2nd and 3rd order motives.

Thanks, I know nothing about smart TVs, I've just read that newer TVs that connect directly to the internet have ads. Maybe certain models are ad sponsored, I don't know. If it comes a time I do have to buy a smart TV, I might ask you for more advice.

Right now my only TV is a 32-inch Samsung I bought on clearance from Target in 2012. I have home wifi of course. And I have a 17.3 inch screen laptop, an iPhone, an iPad and an Amazon Firestick in my TV - these are the only 4 things connected to my wifi. I'm not a big TV watcher. I only really us the iPad to read, it's my Kindle. I don't have cable or any TV service. I do have Amazon Prime.

I use an indoor digital antenna to bring in the networks, when a game I want to watch is on one of the local stations I watch it that way. When I want to watch a Chargers game that is not on locally, I stream it through the Reddit streams. I use a VPN and have good virus protection. I stream to my laptop, sometimes I'll just watch the game on my laptop. I can also connect my TV to my laptop via and HDMI cable if I want to watch it on a bigger screen.

I've read on this forum that you can configure Firesticks to stream Reddit streams, but I've never bothered to learn how to do it.

I dont understand a lot of the things you say but I can GUARANTEE that we DONT ALL like her. I have nothing against the gal, she seems like an actual nice person, but I dont listen to her music and IMO the NFL is too focused on her during games instead of on the game. I wonder how many announcers feel like gagging when they show TS on screen.
