I'm not saying Tart is a badass, but he certainly sent the message that he is not going to take crap from anyone.
He didn't mention Dielman? tsk tsk ... maybe Chris was too far away for him to notice?

But personally, it's about the game within the game.
Kelce is known to play this GWG, and sometimes mistakes have a psychological impact on the game, I'd argue Tart helped us do that, even if it wasn't his intention.
Kelce has been.able to get into our guys' heads often, imo he gets into Derwin's head. If you celebrated Derein's pile drive, you should celebrate Tarts slap.
We have to take calculated risks with physicality, and this was more accidental than calculated, but sometimes you stand up to the bully.
DJ's pile drive was a BS call - optics over substance. Like many calls against him, actually. On that play, Kelce was still fighting to get ahead and trying to score. shouldn't be a rule you have to gently place the vicious opposing TE to the ground as they fight you to get into the end zone.

Tart's bitch slap was badass. RIGHT ON TART!!!

(I get your point - a stupid play can really cost the team ...)

I remember watching a video where our DC Manusky (sp?) was getting the defense fired up and he told Foley you need to knock somebody the fuck out.

Too bad he got shot over a ugly ass hooker.

He got shot because he confronted a guy who had a gun. Both screwed up. One died.
Don't do that, boys and girls.

              She wasn't a hooker.

And Manusky wasn't the DC at the time, Foley coming over in 2004 and last playing in 2005 - both years Wade Phillips being the DC.

That’s what happens when Becton has a history and was out of practice this summer for so long. He doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt.

In all honesty, in real-time I was pissed by the lack of restraint. If I remember right (admittedly was more than a few beers in), it was during that phase of the game were momentum had swung and it sort of felt like we were on the verge of Chargering. I was pissed that we gave them those free yards and thought he probably should have been tossed. HOWEVER, now that we won and all turned out okay...I FUCKING LOVE IT!

Same. I was pissed and generally anxious about the game, etc. My take is purely hindsight. I wouldn't advise we do it again as a strategy haha
but some guys you have to check, Kelce is THAT guy, for our biggest rivals and biggest obstacle to winning the division until proven otherwise.

I thought Foley was shot by an off duty police officer with a personal grudge against drunk drivers? Admittedly, I don't know if Aaron Mansker had a side job as a hooker.

Could you be thinking of the Padres Tommy Pham and the strip club stabbing?

Maybe he wasn’t DC at time but I remember the video it’s hilarious.

There is a huge difference between a guy having to deal with a knee injuries in his career and a guy completely dogging it. Becton had a 103 degree fever and was taking IVs before the game, yet was still out there trying to gut it out.
