My challenge to this forum! As we zoom in on the Raider Game, I've got to ask...are even the enthusiastic believers here under-appreciating this team's offense? 27 points is nice, but not earth-shattering, right?

I want you to consider three factors about the Chief's game:
-We faced a top, well coached defense w/the Chiefs
-The offense only had 8 possessions (near league bottom) at chances to score. And our last possession needed merely to exhaust the clock, so really only 7 count.
-We were also near league bottom at starting field position. Easy scores were never on the table. Every point required Herbert and company to go on long marches.

Despite all these massive obstacles the team posted top-drawer results in yards-per-drive and points-per-drive. Under different circumstances this would have been a 40 point outburst. Reminds me, a history major, of early Napoleonic battles.

It's just one week and each week in the NFL is it's own universe...but if we did this on the Chiefs...what is on the horizon when facing lesser defenses like the Raiders?

Prisco has the Chargers winning 31 - 30. Not that I care much for prognosticators, but at least he has us getting the dub. He said something like "Geno will keep up with Herbert step for step." Not so sure in that estimation personally. I see something more like 27 - 19 Bolts win.

Fucking brilliant! Thanks for the share

Yes! Where do I sign the petition?

Minter is going to have to get creative this week to manufacture pressure on Geno. Our edge group is not great and if he has time Geno can deliver. He did it tonis a couple of years back with the Seahawks. If Bowers plays, Derwin will likely be occupied so it will have to come from someone else.

Mack could turn 50 and he'd still bring on unrelenting heat against the Raiders.

Its Raider's week for Mack. Delmar Glaze is going to erase him?

Chargers only gave up 28 or more twice last year (regular season). Yes anything can happen, but very hard for me to see that, unless flags are flying all over the field.

As you noted, I just don't much care what the network "experts" have to say. Pretty useless, imo.

What I saw from the Chargers in Week1 was pretty convincing evidence that Harbaugh and his coordinators can create and execute a solid game plan.

If we get that from the Bolts this week, I expect a comfortable victory.

One of our edge players is a HOF lock and many think he's not diminished with age. Sacks come in bunches. Geno isn't the running threat Mahomes was.Tuli will get some hits among others. How's Jeanty at pass pro?

Sam Acho's on-air identity is "The Persistent Herb Hater".

Even when Herb wins it all, Acho will find ways to downgrade his performance and stature, meaning... Acho won't eat crow.

100% spot on - Jim! Geno is not a significant running threat, they will require less dedicated spying this week. and no, Jeanty did not look very good at pass pro in the limited plays I saw from last week. welcome anyone who saw the entire game and saw differently?
