Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

Considering he is not having surgery he is likely right. Of course, it could be one of the other 3 ligaments. Regardless, it is likely something like LT had during the Chargers PO run. He wasn't the same when he had the knee injury. He could play and tried but looked really bad.

The battle of the 1st round RBs Mon nite. Hampton's 48 rushing yds (3.2 ypc) against the Chiefs was 3rd among rookies. The Commanders' 7th rnd rookie Jacory somebody led the field with 82 yds (8.2), the Broncos' RJ Harvey was 2nd with 70 yds (11.7). Jeanty with 38 yds (2.0) was 5th.
I wonder if Chip Kelly is going to try to work in heavy doses of Jeanty against the Chargers. The Chargers' D gave up 41 yds on 10 carries to Chiefs RBs Pacheco and Hunt. (Mahomes did most of the rushing damage with 57 yds). In 2024 the Chargers were average defending the run, giving up 117.5 yards per game (14th).

the thought sprung for me seeing Mr. Beastmode himself talking with Hampton himself live last friday.
It's still a bold take to say Hampton will be better than Jeanty and perhaps it should still be but I have a feeling this will prove it's true soon enough.RIP CK

We might see him on passing downs but wouldn't expect to see him much this year.
Kennard was passed up until the 4th round for a reason. I don’t think his ceiling is high. Alt probably practices against him with one arm.
Like WR this year….we might need 2 impact Edge players next year. One a high draft pick and one a FA.

Especially from this draft class that was supposed to be the best RB class since Columbus discovered America.
