I just watched Phil Simms say the same thing. Having Najee there created ambiguity, no there's no ambiguity, he knows he's the main man in the backfield now and we saw the result, he's only going to get better.

Hampton will be a factor the rest of the seasonOriginally posted by Velo View Post

Gadsden was nice yesterday and I think will get more attempts his way.
Harris and KLS will have to bide their time behind Ladd, Allen and QJ

RBs need to get into a rhythm. Harder to do in a platoon system. Hampton stepped up yesterday as did Gadsden. Couple of rookies had a dayOriginally posted by Velo View Post

Hampton is going to bust a big one at some point this season. He almost broke one - -I think on the drive to tie but Moss tripped him up on the screen pass.Originally posted by jamrock View Post

Herbert got hit way too much yesterday. Gro is going to have to call more quick hitters going forward. He did that on the last drives using Hampton more out of the backfield and Keenan on some timing routes. NYG have a solid front 4.

You sure it wasn't Chris Simms on PFT? I literally just finished watching it and he said the exact same thing.Originally posted by Velo View Post

1) Woods, Peter- DT/Clemson
2) Pregnon, Emmanuel- OG/Oregon
3) Moore, Derrick- EDGE/Michigan
4) Demmings, Charlie- CB/S. F. Austin
6) Klein, Marlin- TE/Michigan

Yeah I think the most underrated story in this game is QJ versus Pat Surtain. The big play QJ had early in the game meant Surtain had to cover him the whole game. This allowed Allen to score and a less than 100% McConkey to contribute against the lesser DBs. And QJ still got 89 yards while needing to command attention as the only legit deep threat.

I would agree. GRo is going to need to protect Herbert better. Like you said, quick hitters, maybe leaving guys in to block, so only four in the pattern with Hampton a late check down after an initial block or chip.Originally posted by jamrock View PostHerbert got hit way too much yesterday. Giants offense isn't that great. And the strength of the Giants defense is the front to be sure

McConkey was clutch when targeted but was the third option yesterday. Kind of a luxury. Has QJ officially turned the corner and become a reliable threat?Originally posted by AK47 View PostYeah I think the most underrated story in this game is QJ versus Pat Surtain. Najee had a very incentive laden deal, so it’s not a big salary since he won’t hit those incentives now.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View PostWell Harris is another big salary to IR. Chargers have to be near the top in Cap space on IR
C hargers probably will need a RB and more OLine depth
Not sure who is out there but Hortiz will be churning for sure

The Chargers have to make a decision on QJ this off-season, they have to decide by May 1 whether to pick up is 5th year option. They picked up the 5th year options for both Herbert and Slater and morphed them into 2nd contracts. This last may they declined the 5th year option for Zion Johnson. Based on QJ's play through the first three games, would you pick up his 5th year option or not?

Don't forget John Lynch's pathetic attempt to injure and incapacitate LT. I think that was even on home turf at the Q! Just forgot what year but was later on in LT's carrier.Originally posted by powderblueboy View Post
Burt Grossman, Leslie O'Neil, & Jamal Williams, who got taken out for the year by a sneaky Denver lineman from behind, diving at Jamal's ankles.
Chargers were 8 - 4, and it cost them a playoff appearance.
They couldn't stop the run after that.
And then there was Bree's injury. Who knows what shitty little things, per instruction, Denver defenders did to him in that pile.
Denver has been the dirtiest team in the division for decades.
