We shouldn't take any game lightly. They all count.
Wash is a run offense. We should try to force the pass.

Look who also has a struggling OL….

Yes, the Washington Commanders have offensive line problems, which have been a significant concern early in the 2025 season, particularly in pass protection and against strong defensive fronts. Despite acquiring Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil and other pieces, the line has struggled to consistently generate movement and has allowed numerous pressures and sacks, forcing the team to consider reshuffling its starters to improve performance.
      Key Issues
      • Inconsistent Pass Blocking:
The offensive line has been a "sieve," especially on the right side, allowing significant pressure on quarterback Jayden Daniels through the first two weeks.
      • Struggles Against Stout Defenses:
While the line showed physicality against weaker opponents, they have failed to consistently win physical battles against stronger defensive fronts.
      • Interior Weakness:
The interior of the line has been a particular problem, with the left guard position allowing the most total pressures and the center also being a weakness.
      • Lack of Cohesion:
The starting five linemen have struggled to get consistent practice time together due to minor injuries and other issues, hindering their ability to build chemistry and execute complex blocking schemes.

Doesn't matter much when they can't even handle stunts or blitz packages from lesser defenses. Especially minus Alt & Becton. Teams know that they'll be able to pin their ears back and just come after Herbert and/or stack the box against the run, since these guys can't run block for shit most the time either.

I do hope I'm wrong of course, but I don't see it as of now.
Last week was an anomaly of penalties, ints thrown and pass drops. We don't do that shit. Move on. Be the Chargers.

Washington's front office should read this forum on how to fix its offensive line issues.

OL experts have said that the reason that OL depth is so bad in NFL today is because of the way college football is coached today....with all the RPO's and WR screens, etc....
very few college lineman know how to block for a pocket passer....

So because of the lack of proper training, the real training happens in NFL and takes a few years to develop them!

Popper said Becton was out of the yellow jersey and practicing - so thats good news

Give him the big helmet cover and lets roll!

Salyer to LT or will it be Deculus if Becton is at RG?

After the L at Giants last Sunday, Jim Harbaugh kept answering and repeating, "yeah guys (or he) battled hard" or answers to this effect as he was delivering his typical flavor of (losing) coach speak after that game. I do understand that they had game planned the way that they had during their practice sessions before they headed out for NY and all was already cast. Perhaps they did not fully account for the Giants' great defensive front loaded with higher tier draftees but I find this argument to be unfathomable from a pro like Jim Harbaugh.

Going to this next game hosting the Commanders, they obviously know the challenges which they face with their BandAid OL so it will be inexcusable to design plays which consistently need those crucial extra seconds to set up. I think that we are actually loaded with talent for a quicker passing game. Justin really needs to shave off a second or two from holding onto the ball to avoid injuries due to unnecessary hits and our WRs must be focused on making those expected quick passes.
