A looong time ago Fleet stated that...

We have a variety of Charger fans who come here to lurk and post.

There is a variety of personalities, football chops and points of view.

There is even disparate of perspectives according to Charger history and when someone became a Charger fan.

It is expected that we disagree respectfully.

Not only is cool behavior an act of appreciating this board and what Fleet has created.

It is also that when we can bounce ideas off each other in a decent manner, this board is at its best.

Not attempting to big league anyone..I'm trying to build a better voice too.

Season is over unless Hortiz uses all our draft capital and gets some meaningful reinforcements.

We got screwed by injuries. It’s nobody’s fault. Just bad Charger luck that happens over and over again.
Defense have up 6 points. STs coverage was again bad and Herbert throws another bad INT for 6.

Play a clean game we win 27-6.... But that's not how it goes sometimes. A win on the road, I'll take it.

        This!

Two, out of the norm touchdowns, by the Titans. Chargers won the game.

And how the Steelers played yesterday has no bearing on how they will play Sunday

        Ugly wins count the same

Pittsburgh always seems to show up when the Chargers are decimated on the Oline,
and their strength being on the defensive line.

          Big game.
Chargers have only beaten 1 good team this year.

I do think Salyer/Pip and a bit of help will be up to the challenge.

            Maybe.

It's possible we can gut out 3 more wins - Raiders, shoot out with Cowboys, and maybe a depleted/eliminated Texans team late in December.

Looking at the AFC this year, good chance 9-8 gets a wild card spot. Almost certain we lose in the first round so do we want that heartbreak or just take the better draft spot?

Agree that injuries screwed us. I hope we finally address the IOL next year.

Well, waking up in Nashville this morning to a bright and sunny day. I'll take the dub we got as it beats losing. The low was watching Alt get carted off.......the sea of Chargers fans I was in were just deathly quiet......we've all seen that movie too many times. The high was watching the D stuff the Titans on fourth and goal. THEN having Herbie and the boys go 99.5 yards for the score......a 14 point swing that won the game......It was awesome to watch.

Another high was watching Patterson come in and rip off a few nice runs. Poor Kimani was stuffed over and over with NO where to go. Those runs seemed to loosen us up, at least it felt that way. The talk was all about the D, they really only gave up 6........everybody felt they had a stout game.

It was a complete takeover though, our section had about 10Titans fans as I could see, the rest were all Chargers. After the game, Broadway was a sea of Chargers jerseys and hats. It was fun to be a part of it all. I was bummed I couldn't use my Keenan signs. Oh well, he'll get the record Sunday night at home.

              Beat the Steelers!!!!!

Till we make a trade, we are very limited. Hart went down too
It’s a sad day in Chargerville when we are hoping Deculus and Hart are healthy enough to play.

The coupe de grace was watching Bosa play yesterday, injury free 8 games into the season.

WTH is wrong with Chargers conditioning year after year? This can’t be just bad luck, can it?

To the organization's credit, I do think they have done multiple deep dives into this issue. It's why they paid Ben Herbert a ton of money to train the players. The new facility. All of it.

Maybe it's the playing surface that is causing cumulative stress on various joints? I have no idea. There are a lot of injuries around the league every year, it feels like this year it might be even worse league -wide? Big name guys going down every week it feels like.

Maddening. The Alt injuries have been freakish and unrelated to conditioning. Hampton's was likely bizarre. But this has been repeated throughout the 2000's. Bad luck? Cursed? Who knows but it sure seems to happen to us more than others. And at the most important positions

A positive offset to this was that the snaps on pretty much every FG, PAT and punt were atrocious and yet JK Scott saved the day every time. Could have had a blocked punt, missed FG etc the way Lovato was playing. Then the outcome of this game would have been very depressing. Harris has to come back ASAP.
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Nice recap and cool you were there to see the game at the stadium and represent.

What stands out to me is how well Vidal and Patterson are able to assume the RB responsibilities, while our backup trenches can’t.

Never, ever, spend a first round pick on RB. It has come back to bite Chargers in the ass over and over and mark my words, as I said on draft day, it was yet another mistake.

#1 should be used on trenches if you already have your franchise QB.

If you constantly get overpowered in the trenches your team can not rise above mediocrity.
