    1) more protection. Dissly is the best combo TE on the roster, meaning blocking and receiving. Why is he inactive?

    2) quicker passes, screens, use QJ and Harris for their yard after catch ability

The goal should be to cut down the hits per game on Herbert by 50% on average. I realize Herbert might also be willing to move out of the pocket and dump the ball. So be it

Agree, partly but here are some of my observations:

    - Dissley is a horrible receiver with balls bouncing off his hands....drops are not as bad, but when you tip balls up into the air, you set up picks....

    - Chargers did throw short....almost every play that was not a run for no yards or less, was a super short pass forced into tight coverage....

    - several times, Ladd was wide open in medium to deep areas over the middle or to the right, but Herbert never saw them because the incredible quick pressure he has been under has forced him to decide pre-snap who to force the ball to.....and he was desperately doing that today......

    - it is obvious that a few DC's have figured this out and are disquising coverages and concentrating on pressuring and taking away all the short outlets.....

    - Roman is a stoneage coach like Marty was..... if they cannot run, their offense does not work....they cannot change and design a modern offense that takes advantage of the rules that make passing the ball so easy....Roman still expects the OL to block forever so Herbert can hold ball forever to read entire field?..... try running PA passes in Madden football.... the pass rush usually kills you before the QB gets in position to throw.... lol..... Romans offense is like that!!!!...lol. Roman needs to be replaced by a young aggressive coach from the McVey tree?

    - Everyone says the OL sucks, but other teams also have injuries, but do not allow the jailbreaks that this OL does..... it has to be the OL coaching and scheme?!!! We currently have 3 first round OL playing!???... and 2 more first rounders are on IR!!!..... these guys sucking is crazy!

    - ROMAN was a horrible hire!!!....there are so many better offensive coaches out there!!!...he must be replaced!!!

    - The JAX coach is the same coach that was coaching TB last year when they scored at will against Minters defense....

    - When the Chargers are flat like yesterday, the OL and DL were slow and late on snap counts and JAX team is young and fast and they were much quicker off the snap.....which is why herbert was seeing jailbreaks all day long and our defense was getting blocked like crazy.... and missing tackles..... cant win games when you are flat!!!

    - The thing Harbaugh has to figure out is WHY were chargers so flat???.... was team at a club getting trashed the night before???? I know night life in florida is great if you are into that kind of thing?

    - almost every team has one flat game per season, but Chargers have had several.....again why???... Herbert playing miracle hero ball saved us against MIA....

Bills v Texans - I think it helps the Chargers if the Bills win to give a team below them, another L . But whatever
Colts v Chiefs - easy, root for the Colts
Jags v Cardinals - maybe the reverse travel from E to W will affect the Jags, the Cardinals might pull a rabbit, I doubt it - Jags should win but who knows.

The Chiefs play two games before the Chargers play their next one. If they go 1-1, Colts or Cowboys on Turkey Day - Chargers beat the Raiders, two game lead and own the tiebreaker. And they would still own the tiebreaker even if the Chiefs beat the Texans and Chargers combined with the Chargers losing to Philly and KC. Both teams would be 8-6 but the Chargers would have a better AFC record

So of all the games above
Rooting for Colts first, Bears second, Cardinals would be nice
interesting all the combinations...... if Chargers had just taken this game seriously, we would be in good shape, but we need help from other teams to sqeeze in as a WC..... only to go to east coast and lose a playoff game.....

The most disheartening thing about the Jags defeat was the defense.

Offense has struggled before because of the OL injuries but we all saw a rebound when Deculus played LT and Gro utilized max protect to slow the pass rush.

Why that was abandoned against the Jags is bad coaching but nevertheless they have the blueprint used against the Steelers to go back to, so I’m somewhat optimistic the offense can improve after the bye.

The defense, on the other hand, got totally manhandled. It was the Jags strongest offensive performance of the season . They gained 192 rushing yards and 4 rushing TD’s.

Was this a one off for the defense or a harbinger for how the rest of the season goes?

I am taking a week off. Too angry and depressed. The entire team and all the coaches let us down yesterday. ALL of them. Not one player played well and the game plan on both sides was terrible. Why are DBs playing 10-15 yards off?
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

100% because if they beat the Jags, they own tiebreakers against so many teams plus they are still at 3 losses and the Jags would be at 5. Alas, thats the way it is

But to your point about needing help - EVERY team can use help. The Ravens have needed the Steelers to fall back to them a bit to get close to being in the division race for instance. Happens every year that teams might "back in".

Big time Indy fan this Sunday or the Cowboys Thursday - -heck just have KC lose both!

And if the Cardinals somehow show up on Sunday - wouldn't hate that either

I like this attitude and agree with your sentiment.

Interesting game tonight. Cowboys will be playing motivated. Raiders are not good. My guess, it will still be a close game

Cowboys have three games in 10 days - kind of shitty of the NFL to play them Monday, Sunday and Thanksgiving - -hopefully they win both games against the AFCW in this span

I hope raiders smoke the cowgirls!..... and show some life on film for Harbaugh to use to motivate Chargers!

If cowgirls dominate raiders easily, there is a good likelihood that Chargers players will overlook raiders like they did the JAX....

name one bad team that Chargers got fired up for and destroyed by 30-40+ points!????..... that has not happened in a very long time!!! most good to great teams dont just beat bad teams, but they beat them badly!!!....when have Chargers ever done that???

sadly.... you have to go into history to find that type of game...lol... tha fact that tht has not happened in years means this team still need to elevate itself more.... we have NOT learned how to NOT lose to bad teams???..... to be a perinneal playoff team, you must learn how to beat bad teams consistently!.... Chargers are NOT there yet!

and Im not talking about playoff wins and going to SB.... just talking about beating bad teams so solidly there is no doubt about who is better!!!

Last year we beat alot of bad teams that had backup QB's so they were extra bad!..... lol

This year, we have tp play multiple playoff teams with their actual starting QB's!???..... and yes, we are decimated with injuries, but our start=s like DJ and Henley and others are not showing up anymore after playing really fired up the first 3 weeks.....this team blew its wad early and has struggled to play fired up eacxh week.... like everyone suddenly got old and slow.....lol
