The Defense is awful

The secondary was bad though I don't think it was the worst one on that field today. I've never liked Vick as a passer and he threw for a ton of yardage today. He also missed on three balls where had it been a good pass his guy gets a TD. On some of the shorter passes we gave up way too much yardage after the catch. Run defense wasn't very good but Philly seemed to prefer airing it out.

lessimore had a concussiin when we traded for him. Dont know if he is ready to play. He was concussed in their last preseason game.

He played in our first game, though only for 4 plays. I believe he was reported to have a shoulder injury though we had no injuries coming out of the first game.

I, for one and quite satisfied today. I think we are going to be better than many expected.

Short week, coming off a loss, east coast game @ 10am, playing against an offense that by all accounts was capable of scoring on every possession, rather quickly.

Our first two games were played against teams that will lead the league (or close to it) either offensively or defensively in several categories. Thus far we are a confusing team to me, but we've shown there is bit of toughness and trust in their coach.

Against Vick, you're going to have to play some contain so that gives him time to pick apart zones. You definitely can't call it a good defensive performance but they bent and didn't break enough to let the offense win the game.

I am very satisfied with the offense. We have improved over last year. There is no doubt.

But we are much worse on defense. We went from being a top 10 defense to what looks like a bottom 5 defense. I think we can improve on defense, but we are likely a bottom 10 team on defense at best.

With the improved offense, had we remained a top 10 defense, I think we would have been a playoff team.
