Who can we lean on ?

Number two is EDGE, although it might be Kennard. I would engage in wishful thinking with him, or give Dupree a few snaps before doing the same with what we got now at OLG.

wu plants the Powder Blue and Sunshine Yellow Charger flag at the summit of Mt. Pregnon. I dare you to knock me off.

It is said that Joe is strictly BPA. Well, it used to be that Eric DeCosta would not even think about trading round one picks.

Chef Hortiz wants his Michelin Stars back. There will be new and exciting recipes.
I don't know that I would say LG is.

Strange has played more snaps at LG than RG. Penning has played both side too.

As far as draft Pregnon, I like him too. I just don't think many outside zone teams worry as much about the left right thing. Pregnon has a lot of experience on the left side, so if you want him to start day 1, that is probably the best way to go. Long term, I don't think it matters, most players can switch sides, if given the time.

With rookies I think you try to overwhelm them with forcing them to learn too much. Pregnon is learning to play the NFL ... learning a new offense ... since we have needs at both OG, you let him go where he can to see if he can win a starting job, particularly day 1.

I could see him out in front of some condensed bunch formations getting guys the ball fast on screens and using his OGs to lead the way. No need to use a 1 on a guy. But i could see that if Vega is there. Maybe we use the comp 3 we are expecting next year to move up in the 2nd this year by sending our regular 3rd in 27.

Ive been on the Bitonio bandwagon for a while now. So agree despite him being an older vet...he is so technically sound for this offense. Kevin Gogan type vet. Got by with skillset at a later age.

Quite a few top OGs in this league were 3rd or 4th rounders. I remember the days where this board would scoff at drafting an OG in the 1st round. Same with RBs and TEs. MLB as well.

This offense is going to be so different. The run game will be so different. I really do expect us to have a run game that is finally so consistent that teams just stop collapsing sending the house.

Move up in 2 for Pregnon.

I think we have to consider going OG early and often.

1). A lot of other teams have IOL needs and while we try and not reach in the draft, a lot of them draft need every year. My point is that we may not necessarily have as many choices when we might normally like to pick.

2). Yes, there are plenty of 3rd or 4th round guys who end up being starters. Hortiz has some success there recently. But the higher picks tend to have a better chance and often turn into better players overall. At this point it is all just theoretical. It will depend a lot of who is available, and can we even trade up(?). I tend to think trading up is going to be relatively easy because the top of the draft is not that deep, but if Horitz doesn't like overpaying for FA, he probably doesn't want to overpay in draft capital either.

I think filling the need at edge makes sense because there are vet edge players available and have for somewhat less. This is great draft to add edge in. I would love to draft. However, the biggest hole on an otherwise strong roster is IOL. We can fill edge in FA, but the chances to fill IOL with FA are pretty much over. Maybe someone will cut an IOL, but that probably won't happen until after the draft.

I like the idea of adding Strange and Penning as IOL. They are not great players, but it's what we can do now. But they only work if we can bring in more competition. They are much better depth guys than starters. They are only OK as starters to give rookies a chance to develop, hopefully sooner (midseason?) than later.

We may draft one in round 1. But you sort of rely on 1 guy being there. Round 2 is pretty high. In that mock it was a trade up.

Edge is definitely deep. Could go there in round 2 as well.

LIke i always say....thousand ways to skin a cat. I like a ton of OL/Edge and WR in this class.

Bitonio played the left side and Teller the right for years in Cleveland I believe?
Wonder how big of deal it really would be in MMs system to switch sides?
