Thanks for the explanation. Like I said I don't understand coverage most of the time, but you made it make sense.

Modern defenses are harder and harder to understand. Trust me, there are many things I don't understand either. From what I've read, Minter likes to disguise coverages. It seems very confusing to me... and seems like it might even confuse players too sometimes. A lot of different reads... and different coverages in the secondary. I think that's what happened in that specific circumstance.

Apparently, that's what happened when Staley was here... players didn't understand keys and disguises. A lot of the things that Staley did... Minter also does. It appears that the difference is that Minter communicates those coverages, disguises, and keys better.

I don't know... I'm still learning. Chillies does a nice job, though.
