Herbert had 3.4 seconds to throw, and we blame the OL for the entire game? Maybe we can blame them for quitting from the late 3rd quarter, but they weren't even a secondary problem in this game. It was the playcalling, Herbert misreading the defense, WRs not separating -- these were the primary issues.

I'm just going to say that I am proud of this team for the accomplishment of making the playoffs with the injuries they have endured on the online and even at RB. It was fool's gold to think that this team would advance in the playoffs and make a deep run. I said several times through the year that this is going to have to over-achieve just to make the playoffs and to have any chance to advance in the playoffs. Well, they were just not able to do that on offense tonight.

The future is bright with this team, they just need to make some major adjustments on the IOL and some minor adjustments in other areas. Unfortunately, I don't think GRo will be fired. I hope I'm wrong. Think they will use the oline excuse.

Anyway, look forward to discussing the offseason and draft with you all. Cheers!

I don’t see the Chargers each week, and gotta say I’m really surprised to see Herbert still standing. That is one tough SOB. 90% of the other QBs in the league wouldn’t have made it through the game. The Chargers o-line was simply abysmal. Who is the o-line coach? They are backups but even a backup should be able to pick up stunts here and there. You can’t blame Herbert for the loss, he was getting killed. The Chargers D played well and is the first team in a while to hold the Pats under 20, the loss isn’t on them. The loss is on the o-line and the people coaching them. The Patriots rush is mediocre and they looked the 85 Bears.

The Chargers with a good o-line can challenge for the SB. All the best to everyone here, and we’ll see you guys again in L.A next regular season. I think I might visit for the game and bring my kid to Disneyland. Take care all.

Someone else can look up the stats, but with Roman the "running game expert" the past two years, how have the Chargers fared running the ball?

Time to move on. Only silver lining from tonight is that hopefully it shines a lot on Roman and Harbaugh is forced to confront the issue.

The team has built a winning culture under Harbaugh.
Back to back 11 win seasons and road wildcard games.
Every team but the one who wins the trophy ends with a loss. Unless they had a crazy run as a 7th seed to SB Champs it was destined to end with the L. Next year the goal has to be AFC West Division winner and home playoff game.That needs to be the next step after back to back 11 win seasons. Then see what Herbert and a retooled OL can do in post season.
