inconsistent? didn't he make like 90% of his kicks last year with his only misses coming outside of 50 yards? how is that inconsistent?

I said that I felt he had issues being consistent at the point of contact with the ball and used to point it out on the old board. I post a thread here where I say it appears that he is much better at it and somehow you take it as a negative.

Novak's misses in 2011 cost us the playoffs.

His 90% last year was in limited duty (18-20 after losing the job to Kaeding and then being brought back when Kaeding got hurt).

He gets very limited depth on his kickoffs, consistently worse than our opponent's kicker, which allows return opportunity after return opportunity.

He is a below average to average kicker. That said, he had a good game today.

His kickoffs can use some work, but he's cheap in terms of kickers, and he makes FG's. He's clearly above average and has improved steadily every year. If you want to see a mediocre kicker go see the Texans kicker that went 0-3 today and lost them the game.
