I don't know who's ball was hard either. Seems in the end nobody's ball was too hard, all's well ...

    Welcome back, Unc!

Not a fan. I have a bad feeling the defense is going to take a step back due to age at some key spots.

      Ages this season:

      Mack - 35
      Jefferson - 34
      Perryman - 34
      Derwin - 30

Mack and Derwin, I'm fine with it due to their leadership, but this needs to be Mack's last year.

We have Mickens and Colson lurking so there is some youth and speed available.

Molden and Mickens are primary S with DJ. S4 will get minimal practice and prep time with the defensive unit, he will spend more practices playing scout squad against our offense. a guy with vast knowledge and experience at reading and recognizing offenses can be more effective at being rushed into a game in emergency than a faster but very green kid. Much of playing safety is recognizing what is happening and reacting - Unc has shown us he can be that guy. I am good with his return.

Would love to see Colson be that LB they thought they drafted. I'm not yet holding my breath, I'm still at the hope stage as of now. We'll get an idea in PS games if he's gonna be able to play NFL LB at NFL speed.

No more touting Colson until we see him healthy and see that he can play at an NFL level

Right now he is LB6 in a real fight for a roster spot

History shows he won't eventually. And as a pass rusher last year, he was below average. He was still very good against the run.

We're getting some good production out of these 30+ dudes which is the wrong side of 30 for the NFL. I hope we resolve the o-line soon so we can use more resources towards a younger defense.

Mack's lifetime avg sacks per game is 0,63. In 2025 it was 0.48.
There's some up and down every year depending on other circumstances. So to declare it a trend it has to be several years.
                      2024- 0.38, 2023 1.00 a very good year.
Getting older is a fact but I like having him in 2026. He's still better than most in numbers and definitely as a teammate.
                      Let's get him a Ring.

So hoping for Colson's availability. Please stay healthy in the off season at least.
