This introduction to the piece is an example of poor writing.
This column was going to be written regardless of last Sunday's result.
It just makes more sense -- and you'll be more receptive to hearing about how well he’s performing -- because the Chargers won.
And this is an example of making yourself part of the story:
Before the tweets and e-mails start, declaring that I’m kissing yet another head coach’s backside, let me emphatically dispel that notion by saying that I personally have no use for Mike McCoy.
I find him disingenuous, almost smarmy, in his dealings with the media.
If I were writing a blog about my personal feelings, one of he first posts would be about how I have no use for Kevin Acee and his slack, lazy, unprofessional writing style and his weak, beholden reportage. Next installment, we'll deal with his grammar issues. The UT is 3rd world and 3rd rate.
