Moot means debatable, which is the opposite of what most Americans think it means.

Everything is moot because the defense didn't sack up.

Our pass defense isn't all that bad when you look at how we do in "pressures." Yeah, we are tied at second last in the league as to ypa but when they get those yards the QB isn't very comfortable.

Yes. But have you seen the Chargers 'pressures' stat?

I think they moved up after the Titans game

Sigh. If only we had kept Cason we would likely be 3-0...

I finally agree with something you said.

Obviously, the team needed a first down and they weren't going to get it by running the ball, so running the ball was the worst possible call.

A high percentage completed pass would have killed just as much time as a running play.
Disagree completely. 'Tis better to have run and lost than never to have run at all. On that drive we were running the ball effectively for the first time all game. Tennessee was tired and even our joke of an OL was getting a push. We took 4 minutes off the board. Even a high completion pass risked an incompletion and a stopped clock. By running at that point, it's still possible to pick up the first down, but more importantly you keep the clock moving and force them to burn their final timeout, and if you fail to convert the Jake Locker-led Titans have to drive the full length of the field to win in 2 minutes with no timeouts. That was absolutely the right call by the coaches. Against Manning or Rodgers, maybe the situation is different, but against Locker? Sometimes you make the correct decision and still lose, it happens. But to say it was the worst possible call is just wrong and shows little understanding of the game and situation. Y'all just think it was the wrong call because it didn't work!

Actually, he didn't, individually. As an OL unit, they weren't bad, but ran out of gas and were beat up. Kind of reminded me of that Monday night opener vs. the 'duhs, when Hardwick was essentially knocked out for the rest of the season. Canepa's grades are suspect, but he gave the unit an A, considering the injury situation.

Who could have known that Jake Locker was the second coming of John Elway? 94 yards. Two minutes five seconds left on the clock. One timeout. I wonder if MM is German?

                        Secondary: F−

It stinks. Turned Locker into a star. Maybe the worst Chargers secondary in history, and that covers more ground than Yosemite.

If they continue to use their best player in the secondary as a LB, what can we expect? Maybe line up Rivers and Fluker at WR so we can say its the worst WR core in team history?
