Our 3/4 do we have the personel for it?

In looking at the games, our defence either sucks in two ways or one. I mean either we do not have good dbs or we do not have good dbs and pass rushers in the 3/4.

I see no real NT to put either Reyes or Luigit in one on one situations and teams have no problem stopping the inside push and Freeney. The dline needs annother rushing threat or a true NT pronto. If im correct this will improve all our dbs.

Or would a 4/3 approach help our pass defence faster and do we have the personel?

3-4's suck when you don't have the ILB's to support it. They are the rock stars in this defense. Everyone sets it up to have these guys funneled to the ball and make the plays. So far we have had dick playing at ILB.

With health ILBs Butler and Te'o we still have an iffy NT.

Im looking at if a four man rush line would help our pass defence more than our current scheem.

We have been in 4 man rush lines more than half the time this year. Doesn't help when our young studs Liuget and Reyes don't produce.

It sure looks that way to me. IMO you can not properly judge the rest of the defence objectivley without one.

What about the 50% of the time (or 95% of the Philly game) when we play a 4 man front.

The answer is no.

So without a NT the Bolts are forced to play more nickle without the proper personnel to do so.

We were spoiled with Jamal. And lucky to have Franklin. But the middle of the defense is collapsing and there is nothing the players can do about it.

Since after SB XXIX,the defense wasn't all that good with the 4-3.Maybe they should eventually try the Tampa 2
