Gee, we just spent a #11 on RT (who may end up as a RG). What do you consider to be a high pick?

He's not moving to RG despite what "fans" think. And I've said it about the interior line. TT values the OT's more than the other positions (as it should be IMO).

TT has been a GM for one draft and he already has tendencies

Nah he just specifically said he valued OT's over interior lineman.

If they keep playing well, I could see this entire o-line returning next year.

            They desperately need starting OLBs.

I don't think it's unreasonable to think this team could contend for the playoffs next year or 2015 at the latest. TT needs to continue to hit in the draft and make smart FA choices but how is that any different than any other GM in the league? If you're expecting the roster to be flawless or 2006 status then of course you'll be left waiting but in this day and age neither is realistic.

Look I know Rivers is 31 but he's not done by any stretch of the imagination. You don't dump a proven guy who is actually redeeming himself with his level of play for an unproven draft pick. The Manning/Luck situation last year was different. You continue to build around Rivers and worst case scenario if you do need/want to replace him you have a loaded team ready for the next guy to step into a la Russell Wilson in Seattle.

This from a guy who said our defense would be better via "addition by subtraction." LOL

Well fuck, the guy's a friggen envisionary. Normally one has to climb a large and remote mountain to find such enlightenment.

That was assuming our "core" didn't suck ass. Sadly that isn't the case, not to mention the injuries.

Phillip Rivers may well retire a Charger, wherever the team is located.

Properly coached, with decent talent-the man can win. Right now, we're competing with division opponents
fat with years of high draft choices from nearly a decade of 2-3-4 etc. game winning seasons and the attendant
                      high draft picks.

In other words, we may be on the short-end of talent for years due to our success from '04-'09.

But-Phillip Rivers won't be traded away; Telesco strikes me as too cautious.

If your bitching about letting Phillips go early letting Rivers go at 31 is a double stamdatd of enence proportions!

Funny, these guys you call the core played well under Norv. I guess we should just blame McCoy for undeveloping them, eh? Lets not blame our lack of talent on TT's personnel decisions either.
