I think his exact words were "not bad." The point of thread is to discuss the defense, good and bad. There's been plenty of both this season.

OK, OK. I guess I'm just going to have to stop saying this defense is awesome like I've been saying all year. I'm persuaded and I've just been plain wrong. The Twin Towers, Yuba and Den, were right all along. I just shouldn't have been singing the praises of this terrible defense like I've been doing in nearly every post.

Twin Towers? I thought I read somewhere that Yuba got a full season ban. Wishful thinking?

And how many sacks did we get because Henne had absolutely no pocket awareness? Like I said, Jax is a terrible team (they are winless for those not paying attention). They just seemed to shoot themselves in the foot anytime they started to get things going on offense.

Care to elaborate? I don't remember any gimme sacks. There's the two blitz sacks which were legit. Liuget blew his guy up for another. Kaiser just ran around his guy and got him twice. I think the last one Liuget blew up the pocket and English cleaned it up. None were blatant coverage sacks I believe.

The pass rush was legit. The coverage was more of an issue IMO. Kaiser tried and failed miserably in coverage. Reggie Williams got beat in coverage as well pretty badly. Couple missed tackles. Our issues were on the second and third levels this game.

I'll start, our LB group as a whole sucks ass in coverage. Butler needs to get his ass back on the field and perform up to par.

I am enjoying my role as Calvin Murphy.

I can say a lot of negative things about this defense.

I think Gilchrist has played very poorly at safety.

I think English will always be a bum.

Butler has had a disappointing year.

Cam Thomas hasn't played as well as I hoped he would.

Te'o hasn't been the impact player that I thought he would be so far.

Cox has been a disappointment.

Tourek Williams hasn't shown me anything at all both in the pre-season and regular season.

Weddle has set a high bar for himself but he hasn't played up to that level.

In general, I haven't cared for a lot of Pagano's strategy on defense.

Yeah, there's a ton of room for improvement for this defense.
