If you assume we're still in a rebuilding year (I think we still are and the rest of the schedule will show it) and if this is the type of workload that will burn out Charles, it's actually a good thing that they are using up their best offensive player this year. He still doesn't have a lot of mileage on his legs, but with his build and skill set he could fall off quickly.
