Most Depressing Losses of All Time

I thought Houston and Tennessee were depressing, but I have not been able to even think of football or sports in general since last Sunday without dry-heaving.

That may be the most depressing non-playoff loss of all time for me.

    What about you?

Between this thread - and all the active threads that rehash the bad play calling at the goal line last Sunday - I think I'm gonna need to take more anti-depressants.

We all just gotta move on. This is one game in pretty much a wasted season. Over and done with. History. Spilled milk.

I guess we're just gluttons for punishment. Which makes sense; we're all Charger fans.

I just want to see how the team responds because that was such a devastating loss (they supposedly had a 99% chance to win being 1st and goal inside the one with the time remaining).

You gotta think the o-line had to be sick to their stomach that Whiz/MM didn't give them at least one chance to power it in at the end of the game. The coaching staff basically said that we don't trust you to gain a yard in four tries.

They're huge underdogs this week so while I don't expect a W, it would be a tremendously sign if they play well and carry that into the following weeks.

Was it the 2004 game vs the Eagles, where Brees battled us back into it, only to lose from a blocked field goal that took the perfect bounce into an ex-SDSU players hands (forget his name). I had a coworker who was an Eagles fan rubbing it in, which is probably what made it one of the more memorable shitty losses.

Yeah that was to go up 20-13 and instead it became 20-17 Eagles.

And then when Brees was leading the comeback, Reche Caldwell fumbled the game away.

Probably the most depressing loss for me in the pre-Rivers era was when we lost to the Colts at home in the playoffs in 1995.

Sadly, there are too many to count, & too many to single out just one as being the worst.....they are all freaking heartbreaking.

Are you a Celtic fan? Or just don't like the Lakers?
