Not scoring TD in the Red Zone has hurt us, and another key is Turnovers. Did you know through 9 games we only have 6 turnovers. We have 2 fumbles recovered and 4 INTs. The 4 INTS are really sad because 2 are from the defensive lineman Cam Thomas and Sean Lissemore. The secondary owns the other two one each for Cox and Giichrist. How sad is that!

Without the ability to preasure the QB with 3 or 4 dlinemen we are taking a player or two out of coverage to blitz. Without enough tallent in the secondary we can not play enough pressman to give the dline more time. Its a cycle. We need a NT, a OLB passrush threat and two DBs that are head and shoulders better than Cox and Patrick along with Williams back.Go Rivers!

The last time we had a Rodney Harrison type safety was when we had the real Rodney Harrison. With him as a starting safety for 6 or 7 years, we never even got close to making the post season.
I wouldn't mind having a decent secondary but not at the expense of getting some better D linemen and pass rushers.

Exactly Merriweather hasn't changed this dude has been fine numerous times not just this year, but through out his career, and Ed Reed was fined multiple time last season and it had more to do with him being an agressive player not a dirty player.
Turnovers are sometimes lucky, but it comes from players being agressive and I am not saying to intentionally head hunt, but we have no player on defense that shows aggression
