I think the injuries to MW and JV may benefit two younger players. Tyrel Williams and that tall udfa will get more reps more practice time time in the preseason to work with starters or second team units they they never would have seen. In the case of Varret this could pay dividends this season. Hopefully MW can contribute this season at some point, but when he is ready, not due to injuries
Williams, Stuckey and Verrett start TC on the PUP list

I read in local paper (Clev) that teams use the PUP at the start of training camp as insurance. Apparently cannot pup a player for the regular season if they were not on pup during training camp. So then the only options would be use a roster spot for injured player, use the limited IR to return, or IR for the whole season. The article said not to be too upset or surprised if players coming off injury were pupped early.
TGLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Big surprise...
On chargers.com the video of coach Lynn after practice said "Verette looks REALLY good, wouldn't be surprised to see him out there by the end of the week" ... I.e., meaning off PUP list and practicing by Friday ...

Glad to see Verrett....he with Hayward will make us far more difficult to go deep on and they are both solid on man coverage in my book so our safeties can cheet up and blitz more.
Mike W woild just be gravy. I dont expect much from him with missing camp. Bring him along slow and get his back strong as an ox before putting him in. He will have ahard time getting in the lineup once he returns if we are healthy. Good for red zone options but we have so many in Gates, Henry, Allen, TW and Ingram in my book fits well.
keeping fingers crossed on them all.
